The best part of her concerts is when they transition to the next song.. this one went from techno cumbia to la carcacha... i hate how they split them up on youtube

She was so CAPTIVATING that’s the first word that comes to mind to describe her. Fun fact about this concert was that the stage was actually slowly spinning, so she was able to sing & see the whole crowd & vice versa. Also she performed for an hour with no breaks or outfit changes. This concert was also being live streamed in Mexico that night which is why she is constantly shouting out Mexico throughout the concert. She also would design & make all her outfits she wore at her shows💜👑

You should also check out the Disco Medley she did. The songs are not her own, they are covers but she sang a few live at the Astrodome. Since they will be in English you’ll understand haha. Keep it up and try to listen to other tracks from her Album. Btw, the “La Carcacha” song is from her album “Entre A Mi Mundo” which means Enter My World, and it’s a 1992 album. Her top hits on that album are Como La Flor & La Carcacha. Techno Cumbia is on her 4th album called “Amor Prohibido” (released in 1994) which mean Prohibited Love and that album has more Cumbia tracks on it.

They used to have a big festival in Corpus Christi where she is buried but this year they are having that concert instead... big names of Latino artist are coming to perform. Selena didn’t have to be hitting high notes to sound great not every artist can pull off songs like these & it’s impressive how she transitions from note-note throughout this performance in particular, from one second shouting “ Techno Technoo CUMBIAAA!” To such a soft calm voice the other second with “ muévele muévele y alto.” @5:20 without sounding tired it’s like her voice was naturally autotune. Btw her stage was rotating all the while she was performing!
