This is a very old ranchera song but she must likely got influenced by Linda Ronstadt's version from late 80s. Ronstadt released a couple of mariachi albums that were incredibly successful in Mexico and the US. Plus, she was a big fan of Rocío Dúrcal, another icon in mariachi who was very famous and she idolized. You should react to both Rocío and also Ronstadt.
