As women we have been taught to always take care of the people around us. Unfortunately, that doesn't usually include ourselves. Self-care seems to be near the bottom of our to-do lists. Thank you for this very important reminder and helpful ways to take care of myself! Being in my garden or just sitting and watching the birds calms me. I'm also learning about the art of doing nothing, and that it's OK to ignore my never-ending To-Do list for a while.

Yes to everything you said! When I'm walking in the summer, I have a hard time not veering off before I even get a mile in. I walk in a very long driveway.....so I then see the chicken coop....did they poop in the water?...... Oh, I need to check the beans, or whatever.... This month, I'm putting my health first. A few 'floor exercises', sit-ups and such, walking without veering off, etc.

Thank you for these great self-care ideas and the reminder to practice them regularly. As I've gotten older I'm much better at self-care. On my walks I've been using the alphabet to inspire positive "I am" affirmations starting with the letter A. "I am awesome" for example. I find I'm walking with a big smile, often laughing and feel fabulous. Bubble baths, taking time to read novels, eating delicious wild food (mostly weeds and berries), petting my purring cat, tending the garden, getting a good night's sleep, laughing with friends and my dear 4 year old grandson, are some of my favorite self-care activities

I would soak my feet in the spring and find the perfect rock to use as a pumet stone. Then I would would massage the oils into my feet and hands. I need to get back into that routine. Hi Terri! My Sunday morning isn't complete without your mini meditation video! A shower is one of the main ways I cleanse. I have social anxiety so even just going to the store, or being with friends can do me in! I can only be with other people for maybe an hour or two. When the water comes over me, I just imagine all the negativity washing away with it. Incense is another way I cleanse. We are big incense burners in my house! I love your theme this week of self-care. My friend recently told me I should date....my response was, "how can I love someone else when I'm currently trying to love myself?" that may seem grim, but it encourages me to keep on going with myself love and acceptance! Anyway I'm rambling!😹 As my favorite music group always says: Love Yourself, Speak Yourself!💜

I try to avoid stressful situations. As an empath, my feelings get severely wounded very easily. I do not watch the news. I do get some news online, picking and choosing what to watch. Since I'm retired, I don't have to get stressed out by people at work. Here on my little farm, I have my horses, dogs, cats, chickens. I prefer animals over people. The birds sing, the trees sway in the breeze. Right now, it takes me hours a day to pick red and black raspberries, blueberries, and vegetables. I DO need to take time for self care, even though growing most of my own food is self-care! And herbs, too, are always 'hanging around'. When I'm walking, I do my 'gratefuls', "Thank you Universe, for my land, my animals, the ability to walk, hot and cold running water comes out of my faucette, etc." I will also walk and say, "Let....go...." in a sing-songy way, The 'let' tone decreasing to a lower 'go' tone. I also enjoy music at different frequencies, like 852 Hz for example. You can feel the music working in your chakras, there are different frequencies for different chakras.

My best remedy for “all that is happening in the world today”, and most of which I can’t do anything about, is to stay away from television, the news in general, Internet Media, Social Media Platforms etc….it works the best for me along with Self - Care as a routine…ya know people say there are so many challenging circumstances going on in the world today than ever before. I don’t necessary think that there is more today than ever before, it’s just that communications have evolved so that we all hear and see about it so much more. Unless I can change it first hand for the positive, what I don’t know is for the better …. I’m sure, if gets close enough where I can make a difference, I’m certain to hear about it …no getting around that 😉❤❤❤

I think it's very important to get outside our houses and into nature. I live in a big city (Nottingham), but even here there are "green-ways', what used to be railways, but shutdown, which many thought to be a bad thing, but now we have these green-ways dotted about all over, at least here. I am 2 minutes away from the nearest one, a good source of food and medicine too, we have dandelions, blackberries, apples (crab and regular), rosehips, nettle...

💙 Thank you Terri. I find myself staying too busy, to take my "me" time. I think of it earlier in the day . . . then . . . Busy, Busy, Busy. 😢 An old medicine man friend of mine traveled some in Europe. He found a certain type magnolia tree, that he said had the same properties as bay. He brought back home some seed, and now there is a huge magnolia tree in his side yard. He said that the tender new leaves of spring were the best time to harvest. His tree put out new baby plants each year at the base of the tree. He seemed to have found it in some emperor's special herb garden.

I smudge all new and pre used stuff I buy, books, china, clothes, all things, I used white sage in the past, I use my home grown dried sage, I haven't made my own smudge stick yet, just burn the dried leaves in a shell, I have an eagles feather too waft the smoke round me. I do mindful walking, I like that chant, I will use that in future. I am surprised how much beauty is missed by people they don't seem to have the time to smell the roses. I love walking in woodlands, and we often see rather grumpy looking buzzards sitting on the branches I also spend time with trees they are so wise, I have often with the trees permission downloaded negative and damaging energies all done while hugging the tree, I thank the tree and leave a gift of flowers or crystals. Trees love a conversation as well, I have often been guided by tree spirits and trees love to make us feel better and I like to heal the trees as well, I always know like with my animals if a plant, insect or trees are under the weather. I love a foot bath, I usually put lavender or peppermint in my foot bathing water I will try your mix next time I bathe my feet, making my own cream to massage into my feet, thought of rose and lavender. As soon as there are spring daffodils in my yard I start bringing in bouquets of blooms. At this point, early July, I'm cutting peonies and delphineum blooms for indoor bouquets. I also cut and bring in herbs that grow in my garden and around this place. There are tied bundles of herbs hanging and drying all around this one room cabin. All those plants make me feel better too. At the end of summer I'll have bouquets of dahlia blooms to bring inside and enjoy. Yes the big bad world is out there. All that negative disturbs me a lot. Fortunately I'm one of those lucky ones to have my home, in this small village, on the side of this tall mountain (9090 feet) with forests and glaciers all around along with my beautiful garden full of herbs, flowers and vegetables. Enjoy your summer and garden. Cheers!

Hello to you both lovely video and very informative, I do enjoy a foot bath, and pedicure afterwards before getting into bed a peaceful nights sleep is my reward for self care.I have been collecting the rose petals and bottling them in water using the rose water for hair rinse and for my skin care especially my hands and face.I love the fragrance and it's a much better hair care rinse along with Rosemary .I read an item on hand wringing, being beneficial, where as in times gone by the wringing of hands was used to describe a distraught female, we now know it was used as a form of self calming. Once again thank you for such a lovely video always good to visit your homestead. Hugs and Blessings 💚🌹

This is so timely for me (and I’m sure many others). The state of politics in my country (US) has me vascillating between anxiety and anger in any given moment of the day. I hike regularly in nature to help me defuse but additional self care is definitely in order. Thanks so much for this, Terri!

It is the same here, everywhere I expect, so we must refuse to comply, stop giving our energy to the negativity everywhere and focus on the future we want. Xx love and blessings

Thank you so much for this Terri...so timely as I grieve the loss of my soul mate and to be honest I'm just completely lost right now 😩 I am going to do all these things ...I did pick a single rose from my garden about an hour ago... And you bought a tear to my eye when you said you are important... I am and I forget this... My beautiful soul mate Dean was 55 years old ... And I will miss him forever as I now try to navigate this life journey on my own... Terri you have given me some steps to start with and I appreciate that Soo much... Thank you and much love from Australia 💕

Thank you for the reminder to take care of ourselves. When I am getting ready in the morning, I light my ceramic diffuser with a candle and infuse essential oils with a bit of water. So while I’m showering the scent is filling the air. Lately I’ve enjoyed infusing spearmint essential oil. Rosemary is another favorite. Cold winter months I like to use orange & cinnamon. XO

WE do that too, change the oil depending on the season. I love Clove oil around Christmas time too xx

Good morning again terri, hmmmmm!.just what we needed to see today, oh these are my favourite things to do..I just love that as you walk along tge delightful part is seeing all the dear little faces of little flowers and grass es looking up to be noticed, I always think how long the winter then spring, finally summer and so much can be there for us to see.i do actually know people who will march on past and just not look. As im extremely slow because of my painful arthritis in feet and hip, waitingfor a fullhip replacementon my lefthip.i havealwaysbeensoactiveand outdoorspersonits crazy. I wishI couldhealwithoutsurgery. .i just am slow anyway im able to see all the beautiful mother nature s gifts, terri its wonderful isn't it.i really do love hedgerows, banks, the mores, they make me feel so lovely no matter how much pain or mentally things on our mind. These days I do find it hard to not feel a bit sorry for myself with health issues. But the chickens, the plants the birds mother nature s perfect remedy s I guess isn't it.they make me feel very happy. I do like to soak my feet in Epsom salt s ,so I will add some rose petals and rosemary. Mmmm,!.I shall definitely do as you did outdoors will make it more perfect. Thank you for this terri. Oh a week ago I went around my front and back garden (which)are both small, mainly tree.but i took my snip s and did just as you have done in today s film, I snipped a lovely big bunch of whatever I could find. I was amazed at how beautiful it was popped them in a big milk jug and everytime i looked at them i felt lovely, and very grateful. I couldn't believe how big my bunch was.i had lemon balm and rosemary in it too..I shall try the burning of dried herb.i have not tried this before. Only hanging dried herbs.terri your plants are looking lovely. Just look how well the rose is climbing her way up,full of beauty 😍. Oh,may I ask,is it a good idea to have a good few spoonful s of live yogurt in the morning s before a tea?.I love the taste of live yogurt. Thinking of making my own,do you do this and if so do you use a yogurt maker? Blessings terri to you,and your family, all your creatures, hello to all your precious garden plants and trees.hopr your chickens are being good. I have 2 broodies.no eggs for them,1 girl is just not giving up.4 weeks now 😊xxthankyou, happy Sunday, x

Thankyou Terri,. Oh Thankyou too about the yoghurt. I shall make some. I love the taste of plain live yoghurt. I must say that I hope you are having lots of joy with your weed bouquet. I think the joy is just so instant. As you gaze at them it's far more powerful than shop bought flower feeling isn't it.?.I do remember when I was little we had so many hedgerows all round us ,I used to pick posies of weeds for my mum on my way home from riding. Always adding a big bright dandelion 😊. She (the dandelion) wouldn't let me pass without picking her..I love how the bunch es look when just 1 or 2 petals fall on the table too.very satisfying. I shall always think of you when I'm picking now.xxhappy Tuesday. X😊beautiful words from you for us to reflect on Thankyou for being you Terri.oh and I love very much the gentle guitar playing.very emotional. Xxbye for now xx

Such lovely doable things...our World is upside down and that's what I have tried to tune into step away from all the negatives and create,a hand massage or a book or a course or a meal or a pie..we/I get side tracked into so much senseless destructive propaganda which is created to control and sidetrack us into almost sabatrging our peace and tranquility and quality of life as it is we lose it so thank you for the timely reminder xx

Dogs love fushia flowers, mine do, I have a creamy pink one, I don't give the tiny green bit, I snip that off, just the flower. Great idea to make your own smudge sticks, they would look so pretty in a wooden bowl drying out. Om Ah Hum the mantra of the Buddhas.

Thank you for sharing these few ideas for self-care Terri, I have started self-massage on my arms, hands, legs and abdomen before I go to sleep, for the last 7 days, with the intention of doing this every night time using lavender and Stinging Nettle infused oils. I think maybe including my feet might be a good idea too. So nice to see your films each week, all the best.

Wonderful🌸 Its the middle of the night here, yet you have me inspired to enjoy a lovely foot bath later. This time of year, when the air is warm, I'm typically out enjoying the sweetness of the early morning, a meditative, prayerful, gratitude time for me, soaking in the beauty and seeing the light of the day gently arriving through the woods of Pine and Cedar as the Sun eventually peeks up and over the ridgeline..... Rather than my predawn roasty coffee, today I look forward to going to the jar of Chamomile blossoms and to a Rose bush instead.... Ode to nurturing 💕
