Not much of a “self destruct” but Raven from Guilty Gear has an instant kill where he and the opponent are burnt in a sudden pillar of fire. Only ashes remain until Raven’s arm crawls out of the small pile of ash.

E-102 Gamma has an interesting variation on this in Sonic Battle. He can trigger a self-destruct manually with a timed countdown sequence, which reduces his health down to the magic pixel, but he also self-destructs when he’s KO’d. Deals absolutely massive damage and knockback, and it’s even worse when you’re fighting the Guard Robo enemies because they’re just grayscaled clones of him with no voice lines, so you don’t even get an audio cue that tells you they’re about to destruct like Gamma does.

1:10 Good to see Brocken in this video. My favorite of the World Heroes characters. He is like a fusion of Brocken Jr. (Kinnikuman) and Inspector Gadget. He is such a cool cyborg! When Brocken rebuilds himself after the explosion you can see his new body (1:23) Dr. Brown made for him in his ending in World Heroes 2 Fun fact, Brocken was the one who defeated DIO in WH2 *Hail Brocken!* Edit: You forgot to put Neo Geegus in this video. He is the sub boss in World Heroes 2 He is playable in the SNES/SFC port. In that port Neo Geegus can defend himself in his base form, he even has a self destruct move, it is a good anti air.

Budokai 3, majin vegeta's ultimate, that one one of the best I've seen, and it's a you win or lose, no get back ups. And it's done real well even in the english dubs.
