Is it possible to know the non-dual, because as soon as you do, it cannot be non-dual. Thus, simply put, can non-duality be cognized by the mind? If not, if that reifies it, then can we know if we are cognizing, or knowing the non-dual? In deep sleep we do not have awareness of cognizing, so there is a lack. As soon as you there to see it, you are by definition, not in non-duality. If it were enough to know the non-dual as in sleep, when not aware, then there would be no need to find it, yet we are here, listening to this talk. So, either we do not see it, or we see it, which means we lose it. Is the truth then negative, one knows that the absolute cannot be known? It is often argued that God cannot see himself, and that's why humans are here, to do what God could not. But, isn't this risible? Wouldn't God's infinity include the finite? At bottom, if God cannot know himself, then how the hell can we (do what God couldn't do?)

You cannot know it but you can be it. Knowing the self = being the self

That's why Neti ,Neti . Also " Being " means you have to apply the HERE ( in terms of SPACE ) & NOW ( in terms of TIME ) ,being present & alert in whichever Time- Space co- ordinates we find ourselves & also cease BECOMING - an act we put our Minds into gear & start projecting into Future ( in terms of Desires ) or Past ( in terms of Memories ) & hence every time our Minds try to run away from the Present ,we have to bring it back into the Here & NOW & therefore stop desiring either to be somewhere else or something else. It's a practice 24 × 7 × 365. The final outcome may take time but the joke is on us even otherwise. Even at this moment we are exactly what we are supposed to be ,in Reality sans any practice .Practice is needed for the purpose of Recognition - RE - COGNITION & Remember - RE - MEMBER ( yoga - Subject Object merging into Singularity .Hope it throws a bit of light in explaining this mystery of Self . Self Knowledge is a contradiction . Knowledge implies 3 entities ,namely Subject who knows ,Object that which is being known & the process of Knowing . Self ,in it's purity can have no Knowledge because it knows only itself & nothing & nobody else.
