In many churches, today is the liturgical celebration of the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Before he was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God, the Risen Lord told his disciples: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.”
He also mentioned the signs that would accompany those who believed: in his name, they will drive out demons and speak new languages; pick up serpents but will not be harmed; lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
The disciples went on mission as the Lord directed them and He accompanied and guided them.

Solemnity of the ascension of the Lord. The risen Lord is seated on the right hand of God Father , continue to accompany to His disciples to a mission to preach. Go into the world and preach the good news in the whole creation......

Thank you Cardinal Chito. I am so happy to know that there are ordinary poor lay people in the Philippines who are candidates for Sainthood! I am sure we have many Filipino Saints whether or not they are recognized by Vatican. It does not matter. We have saintly people around too. They are inspirations amidst the corrupt people whose greed is insatiable! Happy Ascension Sunday to all!

Mapagmahal naming panginoong Hesus, turuan nyo po kaming magmahal ng di nagmamaliw...di nagmamalabis...bagkus umunawa at kumapit hanggang sa gaan ng aming puso sa iyong pag-ibig, lumipad patungo lahat sa Iyo kasama buong mundo. A grateful Solemnity of the Ascension my LORD, mahal naming cardinal Tagle at word exposed. Lord YOU are our Christ...our King sa pilipinas at buong mundo. Praises be to God.
