This antique Chinese bronze censor (incense burner) was dug up in an English garden and then I arranged the sale of it to a buyer in China!
Here, you’ll get to see this Chinese antique being sold in auction and learn its fascinating story. The journey from being found in a pub garden (along with Church candle stick!) to being verified, marketed and then sold in auction…and off to China!
Do you have any interesting antiques for me to feature here on my channel? What about interesting antiques or art you want to sell?…let me know and if I can make an informative, entertaining video on the subject, I’d love to get involved…get on touch!

I once valued a Chinese cabinet at £500 and then sold it for £32,000! That’s how bonkers the market is for some Chinese pieces. Let me know if you find anything interesting!!

I am helping a 90 year old woman who has an 18" diameter Rose Medallion "bowl?" that she got from her mother in law. She says it is at least 100 years older and in very nice condition. I haven't seen anything else as large as it in my online search. Any ideas what it was for or any other information? I am so enjoying your videos, Thanks!

Hey, that thing wasn't more than 50 years old! What a lump of tat. Still they say a fool and his money are easily parted. Keep up the good work David and help the UK export market.

Nice video, great result. Anything 19th century or earlier made for the Chinese market or not simply western tastes is silly money now. There is so much of it around in the rest of the world but after the cultural revolution and the process of selling everything abroad China has more demand than supply. Its a very good time to buy to resell if you can find it.

Shame you couldn't metal detect the place it was found. A chunk of bronze like the lid would sing.

That old chestnut! " Found digging in the garden ". Same old excuse as people who sell metal detecting finds so it doesn't have to go through the treasure act and be claimed by the government.

No...it was found in a garden along with some candle sticks. Obviously buried for some strange reason at some point, but never the less, it was found in a garden!
