Never put cold water on hot engine bro. Waise ab mechanical engineer pe doubts ho gaya hai. By the way DEF issue comes when you drive at slow speed at low rpm. If you are driving slow due to bad roads, engage to manual mode and keep the engine in lower gear to increase rpm. This will resolve current error and it helps in avoiding further clogging of def filter.

Never put water on hot engine bay area to cool it bcs metals/other components tend to get cracks when we try to cool them quickly , can sometimes cause serious damage , let the components cool with time. Capable car! Also try keeping the car at higher rpms by using tiptronic manual mode, it'll resolve the DEF issue more or less as AdBlue tends to catch impurities at lower rpms and get clogged. Engine check light appeared probably bcs the sensors sensed something can get wrong due to the DEF issue so its just a warning. Try cleaning the air filter too. Way to go!✌️

Karan bhai aap car direct start kr rhe ho always leave car on ignition for 2-3 minutes then give it a self coz diesel cars has a inbuilt heater that make start easy. Try this. Don’t just push brake/clutch and press start button bhai.

BS 6 engines me, 1st 2nd gear me low rpm pe ad-blu wala system choke ho jata hai. This is why keep rpm above 1000 rpm always, so that the exhast gases doesnt get choked. Keep the car idle start and rev for 5 mins above 3000 rpm.

In bs6 the ad blue tank become choke so you when you drive slow keep car at high rpm by using manual mode it will resolve the issue . Vikas bhai also told this in his video .

The error come because of slow speed in mountain and due to slow speed the Def filter block due to carbon block in filter so in mountains you have to drive in down gear with high RPM so your Def filters will not block due to carbon

Ask Mahindra owners they may have knowledge about good centres in a particular city. Also, Some Mahindra service centres have specific centres for xuv 700, 500 and alturas. Better to find them as they just handle one or two models.
