So it did cost 1218 / 248 = $4,9 per zine (to print), really not that expensive I'm surprised. Interesting to have all those numbers thank you

I got my copy! I love it bro beautiful shots and great inspiration. I came across your YT about 3-4 months ago and since I’ve purchased a Canon F1, development kits and a scanner. I’ve developed atleast 20 rolls and now I’m thinking of doing a zine. Thank you for inspiring us and showing us the way. Love from DC brother!!!

yeah man if you do full bleed double page spreads you should get a binding type that allows for lay flat

Just ordered a copy! You didn’t account for all the rolls of film you used. Or the train rides to Coney Island or the development costs at lab? If you are sponsored you may not be paying full price for dev & scan? You also didn’t account for your labor. Your time is valuable. Even if it’s a labor of love you time has value. You may be working a day job and I mention all these other costs involved for others who may be full time artists wanting to embark on a zine project. They must account for all those things plus taxes, insurance etc. All in all a very good break down of the zine process and costs etc.

I have nothing against this zine and I may be wrong but isn’t the point of the zines is to be super cheap and “lightweight”? this one is almost a photobook.

To me, the (very loose) point of a zine has nothing to do with price, It’s to make something that is less formal than a book. The price of zines are just based on the perceived value according to the seller. If a potential buyer doesn’t agree, they simply just don’t buy it.
