I’ve done sales for diff companies I’ve worked for, and I’ve been doing customer service at every job I’ve been to. What he’s saying here is 100% accurate. Don’t ever focus on trying to sell to the person. If your product is good, ppl want it they just need information. Be patient and the sales will come.

For the first time ever, I have listened to a sales expert who makes me see selling differently. I've always "hated" selling and I've said it a billion times 'im not a sales person'. Absolutely feelings a person will always remember how you made them feel regardless of what you said or done period I worked in retail 35 year’s I honestly cared and listen to what that person wanted and focused strictly on them I was always number 1 in my district/company which made my day because I made there’s !!!!! Know your product information and providing them with best customer service in terms of treating them like you want to be treated heart and soul I sent irate customers out the store with a 😊

Emotion CAUSES Motion - that is the first thing I learned in sales. If you can get someone’s emotions feel as if they need your product or service because it will help them, they will buy. Essentially, “convincing” and “selling” are the same concepts because both have elements of straight line communication or as Jordan Belfort would say “Goal Oriented Communication…” I get that both “convincing” and “selling” have a different target audience/ goal, but why would you try and explain and make both concepts more complicated when it really should be simple since you are trying to teach the concept of sales ? All in all a great video though with great information !

Love this! Every decision is emotionally driven at it's core. Even if someone is putting together a cost benefit analysis and selection process, it's because they want to FEEL GOOD about having a process in place. The ultimate decision to buy is always emotional in its final moment!

@@Hans_Magnusson I’d say 20% emotions and 80% logic for taking a decision. Apple can’t be the example for all other economic decisions. Apple has the privilege of being ‘first’ and its competitors are being ‘copies’ and ‘fake’. I buy a Korean car becuase it’s affordable and with high quality not becuase its the best nor becuase its good looking. It’s deifently good looking but not super attractive.

Use words to put a frame around the fact (product, service,etc.) to help your customer focus on the positive aspect (the things that mean something to customers) and produce happy feelings.

I HATE salespeople and the whole sales process for exactly the reasons you mention, and that is why I have always rejected the idea of going into Sales.
