Hi guys, interested video, i got my own experience driving a 1984 international 4300 long frame big sleeper, someone make a great job back on those years, I'm talking on middle 90's truck was bringing it from Indianapolis to south Texas (McAllen TX) truck was equipped with Cummins Big Cam 365 with 14 speed spicer transmission, that in my opinion is one of the best transmission i ever use, but the most interesting thing was the rear axels, the whole pairs of 38,000 Peterbilt, someone cute the frame and bring those Peterbilt axels complete, air suspension and everything, whoever make that combination, know exactly what he was doing, best combination ever, don't ask me about the fuel economy, but believe me, i being put a lot of money on my pocket every week, i was hauling cattle with a 48 foot trailer, smooth shifting like a automatic transmission, and don't skip any gear, use all of them, you don't put any kind of stress on the engine at all, using and make property shifting when truck is loaded, less gears transmission 9-10 speed, means more stress to the engine (less fuel economy) not good on my opinion, great video BTW...

I have a 05 379 Pete had out of frame rebuild in August almost 60k getting ready to have an overhead done getting between 5 and 6 I live in Idaho and run to the mid west and south east a lot of mountains and 75 80 mph states. I don’t idle to much but definitely have a lead foot!

2019 Cascadia, 455hp DD15 8.1 average over the past 186k miles. I think that automated transmissions are a lot more fuel efficient.

Do you guys run a FASS fuel system on any of the trucks???

Different engines with different hp.

Newer trucks will always have better fuel mileage because they spend more time in the shop because of emissions parts that cost twice as much and labor that cost twice as much to get to those parts instead of a old-school engine like a Detroit 12 714 L where the parts are where you can get to them you don’t have to pull the engine or take the engine half apart to get to simple things. But you do get great fuel mileage.🤣😅🥲😆
