The world woke up to the role semiconductors played in our lives when everyday items ran into shortages, most talked about being the automobile industry. Now late into the game, India put out sops worth 100,000 cr $12bn to attract the best. Despite being a late entrant, India has a few advantages to make this succeed. Let’s see.

AMD and Intel will definitely have their share of the market. TSMC is at max capacity and investing in other semiconductor companies will be an absolute power move. Different chips are good at different things and Nvidia has been very specialised, which leaves other aspects of Al open.

Hey @Bisbo, at 4:45, as far as I remember, Apple and MediaTek have their exclusive deals locked with TSMC. And they manufacture the chips for iPhones and MediaTek. Only Qualcomm is the brand which shifted from TSMC to Samsung.

If we talk about automobile industry, only NXP semiconductor has more than 70% of the market share, other companies like ST microelectronics, Inineon, Renesas has very less share. Due to increase in the demand, there is shortage and moreover these companies are totally dependent on TSMC for the tapeout. Also 3nm is the length of the transistor.😊😊

India will fail in manufacturing, pharma against big giants due to following reasons 1) Indian land mafia 2) Indian govt taxation or govt policies 3) corruption in every segment 4) lack of skilled manpower related to industry and self displine lags. 5) Indians cannot work in monotonous industry like chineese, philiphsnes, Taiwan etc because of commercial labour mindset 6) india is democratic but not communist policies 7) Indian logistics is underdeveloped 8)india never been industrialized from 1947 till date as politician or decision maker is illiterate or inexperienced in industries or global deals need to grab by talent but politician always lobby the deal .

One more reason Most of previous government are all concentrated on giving freebies to people for winning election, no body cared for developing industries which generates job which ends freebies. No vision lack of responsibility, corruption and it's better if we don't speak about caring people.

@@mausenpai215 most of the labours in India when go to ask for work the dialouge is "Sahab kam de do.... Kuch bhi kaisa bhi kam ho to chalega"..... whereas it should be " Sahab muzme ye ye skill hai.... Muze isme kam ho to de dena". It's not that india dont have skilled workers... Its just that we have very few percentage of labour's that are highly skilled in a particular job. ITI course is bringing some change.... But still lots of work needs to be done. Though India and China have almost same population mass production can't be done in India. One of the reasons the labour is cheap in China is because waha pe labour ka kam labour hi karta hai kyuki usme vo skills hai. Hamare yaha pe hum engineer ko bithate hai labour ka kam karne then how can we expect ki vo utne hi payroll pe kam karega.
