Why do I think that the role of the Arabs was belittled and ignored in this video? These wonderful videos prove that no man is an island. It's sad that most people of the Middle East don't know their exhaustive history. Whether they like it or not, they all have semitic ties to each other. Shem was not the first born of Noah. Japheth was. Shem was the second born son. Ham was the youngest. When Shem settled with his family, he called his settlement "Salem" which means "peace" and is the root of the word "Shalom". As his settlement grew in size to become a city, it became known as Jerusalem. We aren't told what kind of relationship Shem had with God, but it must have been pretty significant for God to treasure and honor Jerusalem to the point of making a new Jerusalem after this age and world has ended. I spent years working to unravel the origins of colors and races, and what I came up with is this: Adam and Eve were earthen color, with straight black hair and brown eyes. That was the standard coloring of their children. The first person to deviate from that was Cain. Because he murdered his brother Abel, and showed no remorse for what he'd done, God marked him as a warning to others that he was a violent and dangerous man. Noah's wife was Naamah, the sister of Tubal Cain. I worked out that her coloring would have been very dark brown (not quite black), copper-bronze wavy hair, and brown eyes. She was also a very good woman, very creative, talented and artistic. From those two were born their 3 sons, Japheth, Shem and Ham. My best guess on their coloring was: Japheth - very dark brown skin like his mother, black wavy hair, and the blue eyes of his father. Shem - probably the closest to what was normal in the pre-flood world; olive-brown skin, but with wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes. Ham - he clearly had the mark of Cain which he inherited from his mother. He had either terra cotta, or reddish brown skin, curly red hair, and black eyes. Because Naamah knew his marking was from her, she felt great guilt over it, and went out of her way to try and protect him from the stigma that she endured as she grew up.
