This may not be the Country I enlisted in the Marine Corps to proudly serve for over 20 yrs., but I’m still very proud to have served & I would do it all over again if I could once again be young - one of the biggest reasons for my joining the Marines was knowing I would never be left behind, just as Chesty led all his men out of Chosin - even the wounded & dead.

My Dad wanted me to go to college. I wasn't interested. I joined the Marine Corps 1966. My Dad was disappointed but when I came home from boot camp Dad had a sticker in his car's back window that said, My Son Is A United States Marine. Dad was proud of me. I made it through Vietnam and I later became a Phoenix Police Officer for 28 years. I'm 75 years old now and I think back alot to time I was a Marine and like my Dad I'm Proud to be A United States Marine.
