Visited Sendai for the Tanabata Matsuri in early August… it rained pretty much the entire time but luckily it was only a light drizzle so not too bad. The streamers were so beautiful and unique! Although I saw a few tourists rip some of them, not sure if it was on purpose or accidental, since the paper is so thin.
Of course I also visited Ice Rink Sendai, which is where Yuzuru first trained at! Lots of posters and magazines with him and they have a hall dedicated to their 2 olympic gold medalists, Yuzuru and Shizuka! I also took home some Irene gloves ^^
At the local shrine you can see lots of well-wishes that were written for Yuzuru pre-Olympics! I did a Yuzuru Hanyu count on my insta story while there and I think when I left the count was somewhere in the high 60s!
