Interestingly enough, it may actually come from real world knowledge he gained from a pimp when he was a soldier stationed in Hawaii. I wouldn't be too surprised if Ice-T actually went through the script looking for any errors about actual crime before each episode.

Idk if it’s just me but whenever there’s an episode where the victims are men they don’t really try their best to protect them, they let them wear a wire & they writers have it so they almost always get hurt. Compare that to when the victims are women. They take the upmost precaution. If they were to wear a wire they are either with protection or basically right around the corner.

Thrice-damned double standards all around with SVU, huh?
@sagelg
@sagelg 3 жыл бұрын
@@alfa1134 there are a lot of double standards with SVU One that comes to mind the most is the treatment of Elliot & him coming back for Organised Crime. Like they try to make it seem like what he did was overly selfish & act like him & Olivia had a relationship beyond their friendship & that he was wrong. But if you just think about it a bit then you’d come to the conclusion that while Elliot probably should’ve at least told Olivia, at the end of the day it was his life & his job & he wanted to prioritise his family. That doesn’t seem very selfish, at least to me.

Don't quite want to risk her happening to open the door and see them, but I think for some sting operations they try to get in the room right next to them if possible, I think. Or at least some of those old police video things had that happen, kind of depends how much time they have to set it all up and stuff. No idea if this case is supposed to be based on a true event or anything either.

depends on the cop as some only care about their job while others can get affected by the sight of the victim. both my uncle and neighbor are retired cops. they tell me their 1st task is to neutralize the threat and to protect civilians. but they still do care about the victim. especially when theyre still alive. when it comes to patrols, if they see a crime happen and the victim is down, if there are 2 officers in the car, one would get out to secure the victim while the other pursues the suspect. if there is only one cop, unless they are able to catch them like if they are in a squad car or can chase after on foot, they would secure the victim and call in backup to go after the suspect. otherwise they would go in after the suspect while immediately reporting a civilian down and inform of the location of the victim before then informing who the suspect is
