Just installed these switches today. Really great product. Got the hue bridge on ground floor and tried the switch on the second floor with two layers of massive concrete. No problem... Easy to install and easy to add to Hue app.

How's it working one month later? I'm trying to find someone that have this installed for long time because of that no battery feature. Want to see if still holds up.

@ I was a disbeliever at first, but must say the product is amazing. I now have 6 in total. They work as promised. Only small negative point I could mention is that the sound of pressing the button is a little bit louder than the oldskool standard home switch. But I do not see that as a problem. It does not wake-up the family... ;-) Edit: I added some insulation glass wool in the box behind the switch. This reduces the click sound a lot. (if you mount the switch on a solid surface the sound is normal like any other switch)

A noob question....so Philips Hue Bridge/Hub can controll up to 50 light bulbs/lamps, right? Will these switches that i add be considered in that 50 or that is only bulbs, lamps & light fixtures & accessories like switches won't take up one of those 50 limited slots? Thanks.

@@deepanmurugan467 I am not 100% sure, but I think you should count them in as a normal Hue product. As they do appear in the Hue app similar as other Hue items like a sensor...

If I have understand well looking to the settings, with this button is not possible to configure the lights temperature depending on time hours? The option that Philips dimmer can do.

Great video. I have one of the Nico switches myself. They are lovely looking but it's a shame they cost so much in comparison to a normal switch

Can this control lights in the same room? For example if you had 2 light fixtures in your hallway with hue bulbs - could you set up one room rocker for each light named "Hallway". Seems like is can control rooms only - thanks

You can indeed, there is a dual rocker and single rocker and configuration is simple

Hmm I don't really like how big of a jump the brighten/dim feature makes. The normal philips switch is easier to use. Though these look much better and I would much prefer integrating this one in my home aesthetic wise.

The dimming function is smooth however there is a delay in the app, I now wish I had shown a demo of this feature a bit better 😅

Can i use This with HomeKit? Or just Hue app? Like, if i turn off a lamp with the buton can i see it at HomeKit? Thanks

So, how's the switch doing one year later? I'm wondering if that energy harvesting tech actually works since this doesn't have a battery

I use both to this day and one I use about 6-10 times per day and it’s still just as clicky as the day I got it and it works every time

It blends really well with the normal light buttons. Actually I can't recommend this, just prefer to have a different layout switch for my Hue set up. It will be confusing for guests for pressing similar buttons.

I wonder, is it possible to cycle trought scenes?? I can't find the possibility to do so..

Looks like a useless product since you still need the normal switch to power on the socket. I wish this was integrated here. I could just connect the wires and leave the current connected. I was hoping to replace my wall switches with these but that is not possible. Same goes for the other Friends of Hue switches, they are basically Philips dimmer switches at a 400% premium.

You CAN replace your normal switches. Just remove your normal switch, connect the wires to gether and screw the senic switch on top. I did this in my flat and it works and looks perfect.

Lukas Wölfel Dangerous and illegal. You still need a way to turn off the switch.

@@DominicKellyUK Illegal? Why? And what is the danger with it? I am asking because I don't know. You can always control the groups via the circuit breaker. Otherwise, you will never get rid of the classical switch and some guests will try to use them. So you won't be able to control the lights via the app or smart switch. Btw, Lukas seems to live illegal already if you look at his profile picture. :)

What do you mean with real light? When you press on the buttons, the lights are also adjusted on the app. I didn't get what is wrong with it.

i think this and many other wireless switches are a big fail from a design standpoint. There is no cables, no need for toggle switching etc. so there is basically 100% complete freedom to create something beautiful, smart and forward thinking. And so they sit there and think "ok guys the wireless switch market is completely new. It is the future and we are on the forefront, with the freedom to do and design whatever we want to.... yea lets design something that looks like the same old boring thing everybody uses for 100 years now!! YEA LETS BE BORING AF" And its like eeeeevery company does 100% exactly the same switch design.. wow
