I fenced Epee 15-20 years ago and I have to say that was the most compelling match I’ve ever witnessed. Wow

That was an epic end to his career. A world championship then a silver medal at the Olympics the following year. Geza was leading 14 -9 and lost 😢

I was rooting for Grumier but that's okay good job to both fencers.

pure2060 grumier went to my club because his father worked there but he didn’t let me have private lessons with him because i was inexpericed, even though i can beat most of the people there.

And then Imré eliminated Grumier again a year later at the 2016 Olympic Games. Grumier was denied a world title and a likely Olympic gold medal by this Hungarian in his 40s.
