Sheffler’s links game is about as sharp as a butter knife. He didn’t play last week, a missed opportunity. He’s not even close to the favourite. This isn’t firing at flags on a soft US course, it’s playing the wind, the slopes and the run out of links golf. His putting will let him down as well. Sure, he’ll probably make the weekend, but I don’t see him being a threat. Bobby Mac, Rory, Åberg, Fleetwood, Adam Scott will be the ones I’m keeping an eye on.

Agreed, Scheffler has yet to impress at an Open, plus the conditions will be wet, somewhat windy (15mph) and rainy at Troon for 4 days according to weather forecast here.

This didn’t age well did it 😬. Rory, Fleetwood and Åberg all missed the cut and Adam and Bobby Mac just making up the numbers.

Is it just me or do Rex and Lav have distain for one another. It feels like it’s more Lav than Rex.

Rex and Lav are mates, they bounce back and forth like this twice a week. Aberg's Sunday stats aren't great. Well done to McIntyre, bit lucky Sunday on 16. Well done Harry Hill, Sergio, Furue and Ernie. Great pod as usual.

@@edwardcreighton2638 Got it. It just seems like there is always tension when they disagree, like there is some real bitterness. Personally I think it makes for interesting viewing and I enjoy the podcast but I wouldn’t be too surprised to hear that these two do not like each other.

@@edwardcreighton2638 oh don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the difference of opinion as well. With that said I’ve watched so many episodes where it appears to me they get very short and snippy with each other over small differences of opinion. To me it seems to be more Lav than Rex. It comes across to me like they have to tolerate each other and that they find it very difficult to do. They may say they like each other but it sure appears to me as if the opposite is true.

He did not cheat. He played by the rules. There was a rules officials right there. Any other player in that field would and should have done the same thing.
