Sentences- a group of words having complete sense is called sentence.
Sentences are of 5 types:-
1. Assertive sentence- statement shows general talk is called assertive sentence. They are of two types:-
a. Affirmative. Ex- ram plays football.
b. Negative. Ex- ram does not play football.
2. Interrogative sentence- sentences ask questions are called interrogative sentences.
Ex- who is at door?
3. Imperative sentence- sentences show advice, suggestion, order are called imperative sentences.
Ex- open the door.
4. Optative- sentences show blessings are called optative sentences.
Ex- may you live long!
5. Exclamatory sentence- sentences show sudden feelings or expressions are called exclamatory sentences.
Ex- wow! What a perfect shot.
