I just finished Sentient. Omg, that was a great story. Very sad and exciting at the same time.

If anyone is interested, there is a novel on this subject called «The Dawns Here Are Quiet (1972)», and there are two movies about it: «The Dawns Here Are Quiet (1972)» and «The Dawns Here Are Quiet (2015)».

I dont know what those half dust jackets on the back of the book you are talking about are called in English but I buy a lot of Japanese vynil and they have something similar called an "obi" don't know if this will help or not.

Been a fan of Steve Epting's art since reading Winter Soldier. It has a realism into his characters.

Thanks for giving me and many of your viewers presumably the first look into TKO books. Both look great but I'd rather go for Sara than Sentient as the former looks more worth the hefty $50 price tag. Love the colored gilded pages and the SFX covers.

Sentient is one of best books to have ever existed.

I hope these lead to more hardcovers from TKO for some of their other series!

I bought the paperback Sara because of you and sold it because I wanted a hardcover.

Had never read an historical comic before, but picked up Sara after seeing an interview with Garth Ennis and WOW. Am falling into a trap of buying trades and then upgrading to hardcover/deluxe editions 🤦🏻‍♂️

Man I had Sara pre-ordered since May 2021 lol so happy it’s finally coming out. Better late than never.

Love both of these, especially Sara with that more realistic art style. I've been hoping TKO would make hardcovers of these! And they turned out gorgeous! I'm a sucker for the gilded edges and gimmick covers too. Now that they're available though, I have to decide whether to stick with the TPB, double dip and upgrade to these, OR maybe look into doing a custom bind anthology with some other TKO books... Tough decision. I hope give the hardcover treatment for some of their other stories later on. One that really liked was Lonesome Days Savage Nights. It had a really cool art style and the writing makes me want to check out 30 Days of Nights since I also liked the movie.

@omar that paper strip found on things from Japan is called an OBI strip. Very common on vinyl records from there.
