After a two year hiatus, I finally went out and recorded something. This is a Sentry 15V1T on Wedge Ave. south of Covert Ave. near US 41. I believe that this is one of the oldest sirens in the system.
This test is composed of the usual short alert and attack cycles. However, about 20 seconds after I stopped recording, the siren wound back up in alert for about 90 seconds. I grabbed the camera as quickly as a could, but obviously I missed the wind up. I'm not sure if it was a systemwide thing or just this unit, but it was still cool nonetheless.
As you can see the pole is leaning slightly. The siren used to lean along with it. A few years back, it was remounted so that it was parallel with the ground. It has also had some issues in the past of sounding off by itself during the night.
I apologize for the lack of zoom. I had to record this on an old iPhone 4s with an HD microphone adaptor because I don't have a functioning video camera at the moment. That being said, I also didn't have a tripod. I took this in my car resting my arms and the camera on my dashboard so I did the best I could. Sorry for any shakiness throughout the video (specifically during the last alert cycle).
