Dreamcastguy really came in swinging and started the mixed bag machine. I understand Mr. Matty being disappointed but he made great points same with Luke. But its crazy to see how this has such a mixed bag and cant wait to play it for myself

I know i did. She pulled through the worst parts of ourselves.And it's turning into a mad tyrant like her father and the slave master's father.... She chose to take the route of a hero. She didn't let hurt illness defined her and tried to help others who are also in pain. It's a great ending when you look at her entire story as a whole.

Microsoft has to strike a deal with Valve that Valve stops publishing Microsoft game numbers, and the numbers for Sony as well, on Steam any longer. All these "it's a flop" articles about Hellblade 2 right now base their analysis solely on steamdb. But every gamer knows that a vast majority of people will play Hellblade 2 through the XBox App because of GamePass instead of Steam, when playing on PC. To me Hellblade 2 is a Game Pass game, 100%, probably by design. The only alternative would be publishing GamePass directly on Steam, but that will probably get a bit more expensive for the consumer and Valve has to agree to it. Nevertheless, great review, thank you for staying true to your own perspective on the games and trying to drown out the social media noise around any release these days.

You forgot this is modern game journalism, gameplay is not king anymore. Its catering for casual movie-gamers hence the journalistic praise. Wonder how much re-play value all these masterpieces have? None.

Yes...but I actually enjoyed that part because it was very immersive and the tone/mood was perfect along with the voices added a lot. The game is about more than button pushes. Plus this part was ACTUALLY broke up with combat

There's no reason to complain about this game, the game industry is filled with mindless hack n'slash and shallow character development, so all cheers to Ninja Theory for deliver something diferent, the game is really intense and makes you feel everything that's happening on the screen

This would make the experience tailored to whoever is playing it. The voices in Senua’s head react to things like what you’re looking and stuff. People could do that, but I feel like it’s a disservice to themselves.

Yea idk what’s going on with the game being advertised or promoted after the recent lay offs with the game studios. Honestly this game should’ve been focused with PlayStation or just been on every platformer to begin with . So we will see but LOVE YALL and it deserves a 9 for the work put in it at least

Tell me you're salty that the game isn't on PS5 without telling me you're salty. Even if it ever does come to PS5, you'll have to wait quite a while. Stop crying that this game isn't on your beloved PlayStation and get an Xbox or a PC. Or better yet, if you can't afford either of those, just get Game Pass Ultimate and steam it through the cloud.

I'm more hype for games like Animal Well because I don't trust Hollywood style storytelling (overly melodramatic and trauma based) and I've never enjoyed walking simulators. I guess I'll watch someone else play/react to it.

Dumbed down gameplay, mostly cinematics, easy, filled with walking sections etc. The ones calling the game a masterpiece, will never do a second playthrough because there is no re-play value. You're quite right about journos crashing and burning the videogame industry, everything is a masterpiece and modern games are amazing, awesome, goty this, goty that. Meanwhile there are probably thousands of "Why is gaming boring, downfall of gaming, why dont games feel fun anymore" videos trending. Its because big studios spoonfeed journalists and journalists spoonfeed burned out gamers.

@@NoisyPixelNews I come here for the smaller artistic games that take chances. I just wouldn't be as dismissive of the larger titles that are more risk averse because a lot of times there's meaningful experiences in those High budget titles as well.

They did actually a lot of marketing for the game. Don't forget that this is a story driven game of about 5-7 hours playtime, you can't show everything in Trailers. They made one big mistake though. Announcing the game way to early and we now know that Ninja Theory did not work on the game while presenting the first concept trailer. Years later Hellblade II turned for Microsoft from "This is our very own God of War" to "This is a smaller scale experience". Microsoft has to learn simply not announcing a game when it is 4-5 years away. Same problems with Fable, Everwild and the Perfect Dark Reboot. In this regard, don't blame the studio behind it. Glad to see Hellblade II turned out the way it is.

Voting with your wallet on digital vs physical makes no sense in 2024. All you're doing is hurting companies chances for making sequels to great games Especially Alan Wake 2. People act like tht game is some established multi billion dollar studio/publisher. Boycotting them over a decision Epic Games (who they needed to partner with to even get the game funded) is incredibly dumb. Just support good games and download torrents if you wanna backup copy for "preservation"

It doesn't matter if you buy Hellblade 2 or Alan Wake 2 or not. Most games will eventually become digital-only anyways. Refusing to buy a game and supporting the devs will only lead to worse outcomes.
