TKD is more popular here, but judo is very widespread here. They have sports-themed middle and high schools where students train in judo as a career. Not to mention all the colleges where you can graduate with a degree in judo. Korea produces many world and Olympic champions every year.

+Red Dragon Diaries Considering the lingering animosity between Korea and Japan because of wars throughout its History and the most recent WW2 atrocities Japan committed in Korea, how do Koreans feel about people like him teaching Japanese arts? Not just Judo, other arts like Aikido/aiki jiujitsu and Kendo. I hear they're very popular there despite the anti-Japanese sentiment. How do they view it?
@Reddragondiaries
@Reddragondiaries 8 жыл бұрын
Paul Daluz Judo and Kendo are 2 of the most widely practiced martial arts in Korea. I think they just view those arts for what they are; great sports that can add a great deal of value to a person's life. Most Korean practitioners don't care that they are Japanese styles. Keep in mind, there are many aspects of Japanese culture and the modern-day people that Koreans really like and appreciate. I don't think it'll ever be 100% harmonious, but then again, what is?

If your opponent feels heavy it's probably timing, lack of kuzushi and not getting low enough.
