Young children with Separation Anxiety Disorder are fearful of being apart from or losing a parent, caregiver or family member. This video explains the symptoms of separation anxiety and how that presents in young children at home, in school, and in the community.

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital has developed self-help videos for parents with preschoolers with anxiety. If your child is experiencing frequent anxiety that is interfering with his/her everyday life, and is not reducing with your efforts to support him/her, please talk to your child’s doctor or healthcare professional about seeking professional support with a psychologist.
Children with anxiety disorder are known to respond well to professional intervention. The psychologist can work with you and/or your child to develop a tailored approach to manage your child’s anxiety.
