For those who are 'metrically-challenged', that's more than 20,000mi. & over 400,000ft. of climbing! I usually only do around 2,000mi. a year, one TENTH of this guy! I did around 90,000ft. one summer, and thought I was the man. Really, it was only 88,900ft.(in 3mos.); but to be fair to myself though, that was in only about 1,380mi. Still, I figured a Mt. Everest a month, not bad for a 'lame'. THIS guy just climbed almost 14 Everest's people!

Gifted from whom? Vingegaard and Roglič? The one on the team who's slated to win the grand tour should get massive support from his other team members as Kuss has done both in the Giro and Tour. Did Kuss gift those races to Vingegaard and Roglič? That's the question.

@savagepro9060 Well you're now putting it in the context of Kuss' professional role which is kind of out of his hands unless he tries to get a contract as leader on another team. Wouldn't that be the only way that Kuss on his own accord can really "prove he was not gifted La Vuelta"? Your original comment questions his talent. I think he has plenty of talent to win more grand tours.

he didnt have 2 team mates that wanted to beat him. sure, there were some moments it looked like it but in the end it was decided they wouldnt attack Kuss anymore. so i think if roglic would ride the vuelta this year he is more dangerous for kuss then he was past year. for vingegaard things will be the same, but he will try to be better in the first weeks so he wont lose much time and can also still go for the win.

Roglic won't have the firepower to help him anymore. He would only have 2 Vueltas, ZERO Giros and ZERO TdF podiums without Kuss.

@@veganpotterthevegan you got it wrong Sepp wouldn't have won the Vuelta if he hadn't couped the best riders on his own team. So far (late March) Vingegaard has won every race he has competed in (exactly like he did last year), while Sepp has 0 wins and the dubious pleasure of being completely wiped out by Pogacar in Vuelta Catalunya. He is not a leader nor a top contender, just some guy on the best team who got lucky.

Jonas could have crushed him in the Vuelta. Wasn’t given the opportunity however. He’s a good rider but I doubt he’ll ever again be on the top step.

For sure, partially thanks to all the energy Kuss saved him at the TdF🙃 *Jonas is obviously a better cyclist. We also have no idea how good Kuss would be if he didn't do 5 GTs in a row with 4 laying it all out there for his teammates

lol fishboy was given the chance to beat kuss in the itt at the vuelta last year and cracked. after the tt kuss was in red so kuss was the leader--it's just that primoz was too stupid to understand that because tjv did a shitty job explaining it to him in short sentences with small words. saying fishboy could have crushed kuss in the vuelta is admitting that kuss could have crushed primoz in the giro and fishboy in the last two tours. jfc you're fucken dumb. lmfao

It was Kuss' freakin job to be a domestique... You act like he is Jesus... Furthermore people tend to forget how Jonas helped Primoz too before he got his own chance. This is how pro cycling works... there is always a team hierachy@@veganpotterthevegan

Imagine not knowing what contender means🤡 People that are on the podium or close are GT contenders. At worst, he's a GT winner and contender. Plenty of contender will never win a GT. Everyone that wins one is more than a contender
