Pros: it's a cute, easy piercing that heals pretty quickly, not a very painful piercing to get done and it pretty much suits everyone. Cons: people are dicks about it and when it's healing if you knock it or get it caught you're gonna cry. It's honestly my favourite piercing, I've had it done for about 6 months now. It's so cute and can be hidden if needs be.

I got mine pierced around the same time as you. To be honest, I flipped mine up and down heaps during the healing process and didn't affect it at all and healed around 2 months. So long as you clean it and soak it in warm water and salt after you do so and make sure your hands are 100% clean, then everything should be fine. About the smell, mine did for a while then it went away and its only just recently come back again. I think the best way to deal with the smell is to either change to organic or glass jewellery or when it starts to smell, take the jewellery out and wash the inside of your nose and hole thoroughly or use tea tree oil or any sort of oil (only if it's healed!) i love love love my septum so much, hands down the best piercing :+) yours looks great by the way, so pretty

im going to add to what she said about leaving it up while it heals. i dont have one yet (my parents said no but i turn 18 in a month soooo) but i watched a different youtube video (one of those "things they dont tell you about..." vids) DO NOT FLIP IT UP AND DOWN WHEN ITS STILL HEALING!! like seriously, dont. not only will it slow the healing time and irritate your skin, you're basically slowly sawing through your nose when youre doing it. its fine when its healed fully, but really after you get it done, just leave it up.

My septum took two weeks to heal up. It was pierced with a 13g needle that way the 16g ring would go in very easily. It is very easy to take care of and I love my septum ring so much.

I recently got mine on December 22, 2019. The piercing itself was so fast that it didn’t hurt a lot but still did because it’s a needle going through my face. But would 100% would go through it again. The aftermath is what really hurts 🤣 like if I accidentally touch my nose or someone hits me in the nose and even cleaning it hurts. I love my piercing so much and so far I haven’t gotten those “you look like a bull” from people. Just my boyfriend and my parents but we’re joking around since I started it 🤣

Omg I got a cold straight after my septum like literally a week later and yes it was weed and grose to blow into a tissue! Then my ball came undone and I managed to screw it back on, and the clamp I didn't even feel, neither the actual piercing and healing time was easy, cleaned religiously for a week and didn't have to after, mine smells sometimes but I put that down to cleaning the piercing! Also I was able to flip mine up like a month later and yeah I've got the bull comment but it's always been a joke comment which is fine haha!

only problem I have is getting it done wanting to scratch while its new and...um ouchy .....js lol

I got mine done and love it. It was painless and has been healing nicely and is so worth it to me. I'm very happy with it and see no cons to it especially because if I do one day get over it and decide I don't want it anymore it won't leave any visible scars as you mentioned. I do get the bull comment alot. When I told my mom I wanted to get one she was very judgmental and was like "there? like a bull? you want to look like a bull?" and since getting it lots of others have made the bull comment upon seeing my piercing. But they really aren't worth my time. I have had people who said they liked it which is cool but in the end all that matters is that I like it. It's on my face and affects me and i'm happy.

Truth is its better to flip it up and down a day because it helps loosen the hole

i think the only thing i would say is that you don’t want to flip it up and leave it right after getting pierced because the piercing will heal with the tissue up making it uncomfortable to flip it down. but otherwise i loved it

I got mine pierced yesterday. It's perfect but I think the jewerely is a bit small. I like how it looks very dainty but the balls are so close to touching my nose (the outside of my septum). I have to hide mine for work so I am hoping it flips up well even though it's rather small. But in 2 months once it's healed I mine change it for something a little bigger that hangs out a bit more.

I've had my septum piercing for 2 weeks now. I do flip it up for school and like places piercings aren't allowed. But mainly I'm in those places there not allowed, yes I've flipped it up multiple time lol. I kno i shouldn't be but... I flip it down for parties and when i take pics.. Ooo girl i be looking fine as f***😂 i went a few days without cleaning it, don't reccomend it at all lol it gets nasty and crusty, dry blood, ew. But i soak mine 3 times a day for first week now I'm soaking it twice a day for my second week and I'm gonna continue that for a few months (maybe 5) and just buy a h2ocean and spray it once a day instead of soaking, i soak with salt water.
