Time to find out who is the True King of the skies, as OG Rathalos challenges the aerial acrobat Seregios.
Note:
- Seregios HP has been increased to the same as Rathalos
- Both Monsters have lowered HP (keep fight length reasonable).
- All other stats are all based on default values provided by Capcom
- We also take no responsibility for any unusual A.I behaviour, as these are variables we cannot adjust.
- These fights are not to be taken seriously and are not based on Monster Hunter Lore, I simply make them for people to watch and enjoy.

The fact that these two don't officially have a turf war even though Seregios was built from the ground-up to Rathalos' rival will always be a disappointment to me Astalos too

I wasn’t expecting a surprise battle like this, especially between these two aerial rivals! I figured Seregios would win but it was a lot closer than I thought! 😮 Thank you for making this fight happen, especially when you’re busy making more fights for the tournament I’m sure we all appreciate it a ton! I certainly do 😊

I mean his rival literally has speed and instinct like an eagle. Rathalos he’s still like a kids fairy tail dragon even tho he’s iconic in every monster hunter quite disappointed to see em get overshadowed

(This is personally what i think seregios typing, abilities, and moves would be if it was a pokemon) Seregios - Fighting/Flying Abilities: Intimidate, No Guard(Or Keen eye), Tinted lens Moves: Close Combat, U-turn, Dual wingbeat, and scale shot.

Rathian told her husband that she was assaulted in a cave by this pinecone wyvern and due to that rathalos decide to 1v1 the attacker in a cave as a payback

I would love to see Apex Rathalos vs Silver Rathalos. Both have the same threat rating, and Dreadking and SIlver did in GU too. I've always wondered which would come out on top.

Fun fact the raths are based off on eagles while seregios is based off of owls. Not only in terms of design but behaviour as well.

I could swear that Seregios was the one based on an eagle. He uses his claws like an eagle does and also makes eagle sounds (i think those are eagle sounds. There are no classical eagles in Brazil, and i think the only eagle-like animal we have is the harpia, so they're not very familiar to me)

@@athos9293 though I’m a zoologist a vet to be precise and generalize, ornithology is one of my fields specialties. The way the seregios puffs itself up and uses its wing is something only owls do among raptors. It’s two front toes and two back toes are also something only seen among owls when it comes to raptors. Rathalos on the other hand looks exactly like an eagle with a lizards tail and scales instead of feathers. It’s ecology behavior and attack styles are also identical to that of eagles. Especially with the old first gen raths behavior and ecology. I’ve stalked and studied MH Ai since MH1 so it’s a childhood favorite for me and one of the inspirations along with dinosaurs for choosing my current path in life.

I still wish we had some kind of visual indicator of where your player character was. It'd make spotting how fairly you were leading both Monsters into each other much better. Also puzzling how you decided to do equal total HP again. I've always preferred proportional HP because it means a Monster that can overcome the HP difference genuinely deserved to win.

@@echidnawitchofgreed92 Precisely! Often times, super fast and quick Monsters, or those with really bad hitzones, have lower HP to compensate, which is the case for Espinas and Seregios.

Fun Fact : The secretary bird (the animal that inspired Seregios) can delivered strikes-kick that weight 5 times its body weights to kill its mainly preys : snakes. So just imagine the weight of a seregios (+ 8 tons EZ) and multiply it by 5 = that's a strike of 40 tons. I know it's a clumsy and very flawed calculation but even if you remove 10 tons it would be more than enough to kill anything. So yea, lore wise, Seregios is a very dangerous opponement, ans that's also why he one shot Rathian during the intro cutscene

i highly doubt seregios is that heavy, and he for sure can't deliver a kick with the same strength/mass ratio as a secretary bird. His legs are undeniably extremely powerful, and his talons would be absolutely terrifying to see in person attached to something so hostile.

@@SeantheSharkGuy It could become a timely limited status. Monsters don't crouch down or eat to heal but they could recover with their high natural healing. For hunters it could be a rare armor skill.

Well , maybe the result will be different if rath doesn't do a "do nothing" move so often. That flame burst really hurt seregios. The rath AI just a little bit dumber than the seregios.

今回のバトル(以下ネタバレ) ええ、まずはこのバトルは中々良かった。リオレウスとセルレギオスお互いに飛行能力を活かした戦いが多くあったのも良かった。セルレギオスはHPが低い、普段は上手くいかずどうしても負けがちだが、同体力なら実力を大きく発揮できるということが証明された動画ではないだろうか。リオレウスも頑張った、しかし、セルレギオスに怯ませられることが多く、さらに疲労時に大きくHPを削られてしまい、逆にセルレギオスの疲労時にはあまりセルレギオスのHPを削ることができなかった。これが大きな敗因だろう。そしてセルレギオスは今回は同体力であったため勝てたから別に良いが、実際のHPでは負けているし、かなり低火力な技を繰り出す舐めプ行為も多く見られたため、もう少し頑張ってもらいたいところだ。(以上)

This makes sense, azure rathalos was seen to be an equal match against seregios, so a normal rathalos should be able to put up a fight but still lose

Rathalos did a lot better than I expected...It seems that the Rathalos/Rathian got improved in MHR. Would like to see if the rare species would do better against Elders than their MHWI counterpart.

@Rex Jiang Rath is an overall good fighter but I'd say seregios is faster and has the advantage. The metal raths are very strong as we'll see in the currently running elder tier tournament.

As a Rathalos fan, this really hit me in the guts because Ratahlos lost not out of his enemy's strength but of his own foolishness. If he didn't spend so much time screaming, flying up and down for no reason, and just standing around doing nothing, it surely would have put up a better fight.

Rathalos is larger, there's no doubt. If you look closely, Seregios is actually a fair bit smaller than him.
