Nate was in love with Serena. You could see it from the first episode. All though Dan and Serena were cute together, she and Nate had a special connection. He was his true self around her as she was with him. And in season 4 + 5, you can see that Dan is madly in love with Blair. Even in season 6, you can tell he isn't over her at all. Overall, It's Serena and Nate that she be together. It just makes sense.

Mind-blowing series but that was the point of the whole series! Dan created gossip girl to get inside, to be ‘from the same world’. If she had chosen Nate, his plan wouldn’t have worked out and the whole series wouldn’t have been conclusive.

She was going to choose Dan bc in season four she said I was going to kiss you which meant she was going to choice him I’m sooo mad that the writers put her with Dan and we don’t even see who Nate ends up with like the disrespect c’mon and season six was probably my least favorite season bc it was ten episodes and everything was predictable and they reason Chuck and Blair got married was TOTALLY rushed like they could have gotten married bc they love each other or something else it was good for Chair and for whatever Serena and Dan’s name was but sad for Nate bc everyone got there hea which means happily ever after I’m beyond angry like the show could have had five seasons or at least 16 episodes in season six sry this was long

Like at the beginning of gossip girl, dan was the innocent sweet guy and she totally needed that, but once he got a taste of the upper east side, he totally changed. Like what up with the book and being GOSSIP girl, hurting not only Serena, but also all of his friends. Despite everything, nate has always loved Serena and has always treated her fairly. He would never do such thing as hurting her. Yes, their relation ship was partly build on egoism, but Dan made it seem like Serena ended the relation ship between them and blamed her for everything he did wrong. If you ask me, thats more selfish

Whereas in Nate and Serena's relationship there were only sex, frankly speaking in Nate all relationships there were sex, no wonder gg called him "class whore" frankly speaking I didn't ship Nate with anyone, he didn't love anyone he was having just feeling for them and lots of sex remember even Chuck when said to Nate that serenate's only relationship problem would be "whose hair is shinnier" . Don't call me stupid for saying this, but I really liked Serena and ben's relationship, but unfortunately due to his past he had to go. I think, Serena always wanted to feel love despite how fucked up she's, remember when she wanted to that middle aged man but he left her due to that video and when he came back , due to revise feelings with Dan, she left him go plus his daughter didn't like Serena at all that was the main reason too. I really liked derena in season one and dair when they happened, Dan knows how to make someone special although I'm a chair shipper but he made Blair really sweet at that time.

Aurora Zoggia to each their own but I disagree. Serena never loved Nate the way she loved Dan. Dan was always her one true love even if he was an asshole most of the time. Dan made Serena the best version of herself, when she was with Nate she did terrible things like sleeping with her best friends boyfriend and she was just never truly happy unless she was with Dan. I think the happiest I saw Serena was the first season when her and Dan were in their prime together.

Can I just say that the opening heartbreaks me because it reminds me of the boy I love. He loved me and I left never admitting my feelings neither to him nor to myself because I was going through hell at the time. Three years later and I now own my feelings but he’s way too far gone. I can’t blame him obviously, and I know I have to move on eventually but when I see the spark from his eyes missing when he talks to me I can feel the insides of me shattering. I get the same feeling when I watch Serena and Nate and how their story evolved. This video perfectly captures this feeling I got. Hopefully we’ll get a happy ending at last.

Can someone explain me why they weren’t the endgame? I mean look at their chemistry and how beautiful their children would be. I don’t see the sense in Derena, because Dan treated Serena like a piece of shit and always judged her. What did Nate do? Nate listened to her and always understood Serena. You can see he always loved Serena and just wanted to be with his love. I was so mad when Dan ruined that kiss of Serena and Nate in season 2 episode 1. I just want that Serenate is gonna return in the Gossip Girl reboot as Mr & Mrs Archibald. We‘ll see... I really hope so...🥺😭💗
