in my opinion.. vs. Dementieva should be number 1. That match was crazy. Could've gone either way. The quality was top notch.

For me the match where she saved a match point in the semifinal of 2009 vs Dementieva is iconic , but all her Wimbledon victories are amazing ; hoping she makes a good run this year

- Serena Vs Dementieva should’ve been number or Heather Watson. Considering Damentieva was a much higher quality players. I remember I was on edge that whole match. The 2012 Qtr final against Petra should’ve been on this as well. SN: I’m just glad to add the Queen back at Wimbledon ❤️

These are fantastic, these are always nostalgic and I appreciate the time and effort you put into these. For me I always prefer the beatdowns versus these drama-filled matches. Some of my favorites include Kvitová 2012, Raymond 2000, Mauresmo 2002, and Vesnina 2015 .

My good friend was lucky enough to witness the Serena Hantuchova match from 2007 in person! He said the drama on the court was even more intense.

The match v Ms Watson was special as she had to shutdown 15,000 naysayers as well as deal with her own below par performance. I would say Azaranka`s match surpasses that for the quality of play. Dementieva match by far is NO 1 with the unbelievable match point comeback and the extreme quality of ball striking from both players. That was one of Queen Serena`s most inspirational performances.

@@carrerau7138 Have you watched that match? It is well regarded as one of the most competitive matches ever. Elena won no slams but she had a game to challenge the GOAT. Yeah Serena has had better matches but the level of play in this match is among her best SW19 wins.

Do you think you could make a video of some of Serena’s best swinging volleys? Like when she hits an aggressive shot from the baseline and moves in to drive volley the weak return out of the air. It’s my favorite aspect of her game and nobody does it better than she does. Would love a video!

So Serena‘s top Wimbledon matches were against Watson (#1), Dementieva, Azarenka, Riske, McHale. Steffi Graf‘s were against Navratilova (1988; #1), Seles (1992), Navratilova (1989), Sabatini (1992), Evert (1989). BTW, who are Riske and McHale? Never heard of them.

Ok... I see your no 1 is a good choice but the match vs Dementieva is the best women's singles match of the tournament that year, the match is just memorable and epic by miles ahead. I couldnt think of any other matches as the no 1 other than the 2009 sf match encounter.

Every time Serena hit a ball close to the line against Watson, the crowd screamed it was out. Every time Watson hit a ball close to the line, the crowd was silent. They never cheered for Heather like that again.

Serena isn’t fit enough or moving well enough to win Wimbledon in 2022, especially when looking at who she’s up against in the draw from Gauff, Iga, Halep, and Ons (who did all the moving during their Eastbourne doubles).
