This was a great match. Svetlana was really tough mentally in this match to be able to overcome the disappointment in the second set. Serena lost so many close matches at the French open in the 2000s. It's great she was finally able to win 2 more in the 2010s.

.... this makes Serena matches so entertaining to watch......... she never gives up. Don't count her out at any moment........

In 2013 Serena said no I'm tired of losing at this stage here...
