@@Sonsbitchesall yaaeee! I am retired now, so I think I will start with the GS's. Back then she mostly played GS's. Afterwards, I will watch Olympics, the WTA tourneys, I missed while working. Whoa, this will keep me busy for quite some time. Happy, happy, happy.

Possibly but yeah, you never know how God create different talents on earth in different times. Who know who could show up at any unexpected time? So let's just wait the seeds she saw in my daughters may grow big and they may replace her. Let's keep our eyes open

I’m not sure if it’s because she was younger here but you can really tell the difference on how she hits the ball before Patrick came. It’s raw power. I’m sad she’s leaving us. Almost all the superstars in the WTA are gone.

i think it happens to all hard hitters before they're into their 30's. Look at Rafa.. a completely different version of himself these days and still winning. Fed did it...Also Serena..

Don't agree at all. She hot with more precise power here and less of a variety game. But she actually played with more and more unbridled power since coming back in 2018. Often to her detriment since its more physically taxing and takes away timing.

The thrill is gone, tennis will never be the same. I only watched because of Serena and Venus. I think I'm one of her interviews, she said she felt like a entertainer, and for sure she did!!!!! No one can hold a candle to her. Thank goodness we have her matches on tape. I watch them over and over. For me women tennis is over. She's left the building!!! The Greatest tennis player is retired. No one will ever take her place unless it's her daughter.

My favorite color for Serena was that Green! I wish Serena was 30 all over again, because I missed a lot of her matches! And I didn’t realize how great she was at that time, as I was so engrossed in other things, like my overtaxing job!

There were other factors at play. Poor scheduling, fatigue. Stosur had two days off while Serena had less than a day's rest.

I don’t care who’s in the current WTA! I would rather watch my Queen Serena Williams win all day in some of her best matches like these! Then sit by and watch the current WTA matches! With serena it's not a matter of age if serena had said im going to focus the next 6 years after I give birth to tennis. She wouldve won slams and broken margrets record the issue was serena commitment or lack there of.

Hardly. Stosur had two days off while Serena had less than a day's rest. Poor tournament scheduling & inadequate rest allowed Stosur to poach her one & only Slam win. Serena returned for a hat-trick of USO victories & Stosur was soon off to retirement.

Her ranking had dropped due to injury & lack of play. This win was part of her steady comeback.

Goerges' service motion is one of my least favorite of any recent WTA player. I'll never understand how she hit it so hard with that awful, loopy technique. Way too many moving pieces for what should be one fluid motion.
