I could talk about the leaps, turns and drama that he brings which goes without saying, but one very small thing to note as you watch are his hands. He has beautiful softness, grace and position.

Sergei Polunin is the kind of ballet dancer that grace the stage every century or so. Not only is he almost like some bird creature that can fly,but his grace and strength are incredible. I have watched him since he first appeared. Full package of a legendary dancer. I truly appreciate him as a person, and hope he is happy in whatever he decides to do.

I love sweetness of his hands movement, sure both of them are very strong but when Sergei dances hands seems like two little birds flying and speaking to us showing confort and tenderness.

How Sergei can survive such a hard work? See 41.12, and he even laughs. Crazy. Ballet can also be a torture. And we enjoy to see such fantastic ballets with a unbelievable and goodlooking Sergei Polunin. I know Sergei only since "Take me to Church" and became a Fan.

Even when he messes up it looks graceful, and he brushes it off. Honestly I don't even know if it was a mistake or part of the character he was portraying, but at 41:10 it looked like he messed up and laughed about it, which honestly is great. If you think about it, he's on a stage in front of a ton of people, intensely following crazy choreography and he still looks like he's having a ton of fun doing it, only merely laughing at his mistake.

Anche attorialita ' commediale in questo balletto che contempla un impadronimento del proscenio direi imperativo a balzi falcati amplissimi ed a sforbiciate aeree e traverse spettacolari da parte del ballerino .Grande impressione di facilita esecutiva d'acchito e di elanismo astante e praesens di facilità esecutiva d'acchito di notevole spettacolarità .Ottimo quello che con un mio neologismo mi piace chiamare convolo aereo ed elanista della ballerina ottimamente indotto e tenuto dal partner con bilico di difficoltà massima ed eseguito con una non chalance esecutiva d'acchito sorprendente. Mayerling! Superb!!! And stop comparing him to Nuriyev, he doesn't really like it as he told in his recent interview in Belgrad. He told he was more like Soloviev who was better than Nuriyev as a dancer , but didn't make his carier on scandals like him and is known mostly among real ballet lovers not among a crowd.

funny, because this is literally how his "career" has been the last years. He was one of the best dancers and now his technique and stamina are fading because he doesnt train enough. Scandals are the only thing you hear about him and yes, he cant be compared to nureyev, because the projects with his own choreo and ideas were, well, just bad. N was a genius in his own right, Polunin is just behaving like a rebellious child. It is ok to try new things and do the unexpected, it is ok to fail. Sometime I think that maybe dancing just isnt for him. He obviously was and is very talented. But did he ever enjoy dancing or was it just other people that pushed him?

iamhere233 I am not sure where he is now but till last fall he danced at the Stanislavsky musical theater in Moscow. Then it was said that he would contract for few ballets there and then I heard his interview in which he shared his intention to go to Hollywood. I was enchanted by him in Coppelia - saw it live. Also remember him seating motionless during guest performance of an international ballet company and remaining still and intense, slightly inclined forward even when dances went out for bows. He has a huge talent and wish God takes care of him all the way through.
