Har has been practicing all of her task work so I can film it for her “All About Harlow” video. We practice her task work when I do not actively need her help so when it comes time that I do need her assistance, her skills are sharp! The water bottle retrieval is imperative for times I am too dizzy or in too much pain (think dislocated ribs/hips) to walk to the kitchen safely, but I need to take my pills on time. Har is always there to help!

Because I forgot to mention it in the Vlog (and for those of you who are new), Harlow’s water bottle retrieval task comes into use when I am too dizzy or in too much pain to safely walk to the kitchen. Sometimes my dizziness becomes so bad I could fall within taking a few steps and my pain derives from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which causes frequent joint dislocations. She brings me water when I cannot get it myself so I can take my pills on time and stay hydrated - Both of which are very important!

Har can retrieve my inhaler if I drop it during an attack, and when she is done conditioning for it she can brace me during an asthma attack or Angioedema attack. :)

I need a service dog now and I declined so fast that I don't have time to wait two years to get one or $10k since my medical bills are astronomical. Do you know of any ways to get one cheaper or faster? Also I am home bound so I don't know if I can go to the classes. I saw one place in my state that trains shelter dogs but, the waiting list is so long. I may not even be here two more years. I have seizures and stop breathing. I live alone and was denied for a home health aid believe it or not! I was supposed to be dead almost two years ago so, being alone, I can go at any time so, really need someone in the house and a dog would help so much until the state comes to their senses and gives me a human. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! I hope you are well. Thanks for doing these videos.

Hi Jaquie! I forgot to mention in the other day's vlog that you should try a small amount of coconut oil around the base part of the ice cube tray for Harlows veggies. It will allow the cubes to come out easier! Awesome vlog today 💜

I know once again you can't read this post, but I have been going through your videos now as of late, as I know for our next dog, I want to train it just how to pick up small items, like a remote from the floor. We won't be getting a big dog, but my parents are both handicapped, and having a dog that could help potentially grab small earring boxes off the floor, or remote off the floor, would be very helpful for us all. Thank you for what you did with this channel while you were alive. Just, thank you Jaquie.

Jacqui, so nice to see that in this entire day you looked great! You didn't seem to suffer any major symptoms and had so much energy. You are doing so well with Harlow in her training, she is such a blessing to you! Keep us the vlogs, and thank you for sharing your life with us. I too suffer an invisible illness and it is hard when people just don't understand because we look 'normal' but in the inside are in pain and pushing ourselves to do 'normal' things like grocery shopping.

Yesterday was a relatively good day. I did wake up with a headache and severe asthma attack as per usual, though. Ha, I do not show every single aspect of my day (too much to include lol). I have symptoms every day, but you are correct - Yesterday was better than usual! And you are not alone in your battle with invisible illness!

in regards to your sugar, avoid sugary foods that are not natural. I have type 2 diabetes and peanut butter is actually good for low sugar as protein allows for a long term maintaince. Peanut butter and bread/crackers or cheese instead of peanut butter. love your videos. My sister got me to watch them as I myself suffer several illnesses from gastroporisis, osteoporosis, hyper ige syndrome, ms, celiac, diabetes and more (too many to list, usually easier to say what I don't have) and I have a sweet heart service dog as well. I am 36, and I have to say you maybe younger but you're a huge inspiration. thank you for letting us into your journey

So glad Harlow has energy that is great for a service pup. Thanks for sharing her tasks as it helps me think what I need and can teach, plus your sleep issue talks will help me figure out my testing and issues, plus consider the quality of peanut butter ingredients it can hold blood sugar steady and sugar may not, a question for your doctor probably? Sorry Judd was up so early, my pup got up at 3:15pm but I ignored her whining on and off until 5am, how did you ever survive Harlow as a puppy? Thanks for all you do, blessings!

Been inspired to try raw feeding again as Boris is the only dog I've ever fed commercial tinned dog food to, I love raw feeding as it so much better for most dogs. Unfortunately after only three days of adding a few grams of raw chicken to each meal we had a very upset tummy again, so back to feeding the Chappie tinned meat again, I do like they way you advise it's not for all dogs by the way. Dawn and Boris xxx

My mom also had issues with her neck vertebra. Slightly different etiology than you - she had degenerative arthritis, pinched nerves, and bulging discs. She used a neck brace when it got very severe to help with some stability. IDK if your doctors have mentioned it - but thought to pass it along! I only know about EDS to the extent of your awareness, so for all I know that would be of no use. But anyway, as always I enjoy your daily vlogs! I have been a long time follow of your Instagram account when you first started with Harlow as a pup! :) You and the FreyLife are my daily vloggers I watch!

Hey Jaq. Just to let you know, peanut butter is what we give diabetics whose sugar is low. Orange juice is another item we give that helps a lot. sugary items aren't always the best. Also, not sure if this has been mentioned before but when you announce on your vlog you're doing a live, it may lead people to believe you're going live that particular day they are watching it. or maybe it's just me. I've also been following you for quite some time and know you just recently started uploading your videos a day later, so I was disappointed to know you went live yesterday and I missed it. 😔 regardless I am so happy you were feeling better yesterday!❤
@ChronicallyJaquie
@ChronicallyJaquie 7 жыл бұрын
Kayla Kilcollins I use a fruit juice blend (I hate oranges lol) and that helps but I think my doctor mentioned the same thing you are talking about, sugary isn't always the best. I think what's happening is my GP is causing slow absorption (obviously lol) and it triggers the shaky spells. I always say the day in the beginning of my Vlogs and the date is in each title so that should help :) And Judd and I will probably go live sometime this weekend.

You can do a "trial run" for the PO box. Do like a 3 month and see how it goes. If you receive too much. Just cancel it. I hope you do, do it tho! I'd love to send leggings!
@ChronicallyJaquie
@ChronicallyJaquie 7 жыл бұрын
That might be a really good idea! My concern is receiving too many items that I would not know what to do with them. I am a minimalist, if it has no use in this house - It goes! I would feel bad/not know what to do with things people send me but I do not need.
@bigbootyjudy4185
@bigbootyjudy4185 7 жыл бұрын
You can always just donate the things you don't need (: I would just say do a month and see but I think they only offer a 3 month or more. Or when make a PO box video on things ONLY to send. This way they are things you need or can use. (:

I'm new here and have a question. Did you self train Harlow? I just got my service dog 4 weeks ago. He'll be 10 weeks on Saturday and is a lab. I've been doing my best to work with him, but have been sick off and on since I got him. He did show some promising behavior Saturday evening and all day Sunday.. he kept licking the right side of my head ands whining, then wouldn't let me out of his sight. I actually found it frustrating at one point. Then the symptoms started Sunday evening. Right side headache, right eye vision issues...then Monday the full flare hit like a mac truck.

Have you had your potassium checked if it's not the sugar causing the dizzy and shaky spells it could be potassium being low I think I remember you had to get some during one of your hospital stays cause it was low. With your sensory processing issues does your nebulizer ever bother you
