I have this exact machine and love it! upgraded it to a double pulley auger, installed the drip guard for the drive belt. IN wet snow or whenever water dripped down I lost drive before. I also installed their upgrade for the drive shaft that fixes and stops ovaling of the chassis where it passes through

Interesting bc I went on their website, entered the model and serial number. Kicked back saying the kit won’t work. This machine gave me vibes of our 926LE that we doubled belted. This machine does have the drip cover. I never heard of the axle upgrade. Can you link a video for me? I know on these models they make kits to convert this autoturn. I like this system better. Goal one day is convert our 11/28’s to this diff lock system. Really appreciate you sharing your experience!

@@pattayperformance I am going to look up the kits I bought direct from Ariens and I will send those to you along with pics. The axle kit was something they had put out shortly after the model was on the market and dealers would install it prior to sale. Mine I had purchased of an older gentleman maybe 10 years ago or more. One of those guys that wrote everything down in the user manual! Funny side story. Everyday I drive by a heavy truck service business for all the Kenworth's, etc. The name is Patsy's and it constantly makes me think of you and the channel!

At around 37 minutes in, the installing of the wheel part. Is this process the same as the pro hydro rapid track version? The left hub or wheel on mine has a lot of side to side freeplay. So much that I worry it will cause premature wear to the track cogg openings. I final assembled it from the factory sealed box, the track system was factory installed. I'd bring it to you, but that's a hell of a drive. Even as is, it works great on steep terrain here at 9,000' in the Colorado Rockies and I look forward to using it every time, fantastic machine.

I have yet to get my hands on a rapid track. I know in older models ariens made a kit to convert wheels to tracks. I would say yes…only way to know is to take it apart yourself. Nothing wrong with a little education. There is supposed to be to some play. If you feel it’s excessive send a video to ariens and see what they say. You can always add washers to take out some of the play.

Did you know they have Red n tacky in a spray can? Would have been perfect for doing the power steering gear mechanism. Bought a can last year, i now use it for everything especially my cheapo snowblower with no grease fittings

Yes and in some of my other videos with lawn tractors I was using it. When I ran out…I went back to my local supplier and they stopped stocking it. This meant I stopped using it 🤣

Hard to believe it started up with 5 year old fuel ? Highly unlikely with the ethanol in the fuel but i am guessing you ran it dry and put new fuel in it. The wife's card said 26 onces and later you said 24 ounces i would guess you put in the 26 ounces right. The only issues we have seen with the Ariens are bent chute latches that allow the chute to move in the wind and issues with wear on the auto turn system. The big issue if parts availability. Red and Tacky great for the axels i think Jake uses a marine grease for axles. That is a great looking used snowblower, well maintained but the new operator needs to read the manual on chute operation eh? Lol.
