We go into some frequently asked questions about the SES Tire followed by a bonus video of how to install a tubeless tire.
Questions List:
1. 00:25 - Can I run these tires on non tubeless rims?
2. 00:48 - Can I run a tube in this tire?
3. 01:20 - If I want to can I just run these tires as Clinchers?
4. 01:18 - If these aren’t faster than a GP5000 why would run them?
5. 01:53 - Are they easy to take on and off your SES rims?
6. 05:17 - If my wheels aren’t tubeless will these tires allow me to go tubeless?
7. 05:42 - Will this tire fit on my bike?
8. 06:54 - What size tire is best for a specific SES rim model?
9. 08:40 - Where are the tires made? Why did you use Tufo?

I have this tire installed to my Enve 45 and did 70 mile ride as my first ride on this set and all I can say it's a sweet tire (700x29). I am getting another pair for spare. Also it looks good on my 2021 Scott Addict SE with that yummy Tan wall.

Great video. Been enjoying my Enve foundation 45 on my Cervelo S5. The wheels are just great. I always had schwalbe tyres but now it’s time to change the game with some Enve 27 tyres that I’m literally waiting them to arrive so I can install them. Thank you Enve for the amazing top quality products. All in Enve is an “object of desire”.

Just mounted a pair of SES 29's on my ZIPP 303S. The first one was a bear to install and the second with just my thumbs...............................

I’m trying to install this tyre in a Reynolds ar41 with no success (internal is 21mm). I only have a floor pump but a good one. I tried to use a tube which obviously will work, I never hear any pop so is that an indication why it doesn’t work as a tubeless?

How were you able to remove the tire off the rim so easily with your thumbs? I have not been able to do it. I had to use a tool to get in there and lever it off. Even that was hard. I have the 3.4 SES AR with the 29 tires. Any advice would be great. If I need a tube out on a ride I am stuck.

I just picked up a pair of Foundation 65s and was wondering which Enve tire width I should get. My max tire clearance for my bike is 28mm. If I get a 27mm would be exceed the 28mm clearance. Or should be safe and go down to the 25mm? I never rode Enve rubbers before, been a riding GP5000 S TRs. Are your tire puncture resistance and durable?

Hi, I’ve got 3.4 ses tubes 4.5 ses clinchers and bought some second hand 5.6 ses. They seem to tubeless ready and have rimtape. So they are clinchers now with an inner tube. I can tell you that it is a serious drama to get a tire on or of! One cannot drop de shoulder becouse the tube is in the channel. It took me hours. I’ve tried GP5000 and Schwalbe pro one. I’m seriously worried to get a flat. So are there any solutions or does ENVE say; the only solution is running tubeless tires (which I don’t want) ?

Tan wall SES Road tires look great, but impossible to bed the tire on the rim (for tubeless set-up) even with a compressor. Shame, I sent back to store two pairs 29mm and 31mm. Far away from Schwalbe Pro TLE and Continental 5000 S TR.

Just seated this SES tires (31c) on my all new SES AR 3.4 yesterday, but my experience wasn't as easy going as show in this video. I'm very experienced with tubeless and can't remember having such a hard time seating tires. Even with the bead in the channel, it was so snug, that even with a tire leaver, I had a hard time, getting the tire on! And NO chance seating this with my floor pump. Luckily I have a 10bar compressor... The snug fit is definitely a good thing though imho. @enve: what's the reason for the tubeless tape warning (only use enve tape)? I usually run orange seal tape, any objections?

I had the same experience, those tires are freakin tight, even with the the tire in the center channel. I think they need to design a deeper center channel so it's not such a pain to get the tires on and off. I honestly think I would be completely out of luck if I get a flat on a ride. I doubt the tire would get back on the rim.

I had the same trouble getting them on and off but in my experience I was able to seat the beads with a floor pump and less than 40 psi, not on enve rims though

How many miles are expected from the tubeless tires and how often do you replace sealant ?

We've been seeing a range from about 1500 to 2000 miles. That's varied depending on rider weight and road surface conditions. For sealant we'll say at least a minimum of checking them every six months. Your location and weather play a big variable. Here in Utah we had a really dry, hot summer. Mid July was over 90ºF daily with around 10% humidity in the afternoons. We noticed sealant was drying quickly so some were adding sealant or changing at least every month or more regularly.

Any videos on how to do it with a tube? Having issues getting the bead to sit in and the tire kept panicking onto the rim

We will make note of this request and get another video made ASAP. Usually installing it as you normally would should work. You might have to over inflate a bit to get the bead to seat but make sure you do not go over the tire and rim maximum pressure.

Hey, I have the same issue! I want to use a tube, but the bead just won’t sit in. Did you manage?

@@wannabcyclist I managed to get it on took a lot of effort / skin on the thumb as well... it was tough but i got it on. Once you get it on you will need to inflate / deflate it and you will hear a few knicks which is the bead/tire setting itself. At least from my experience.

Just received a set of ENVE SES 5.6 in 29c. What is the max pressure with an inner tube? Not ready for tubeless yet.. ;-)

The max air pressure is 120psi.

What is the tire width of the 27C tire on the AR after you inflate it?

I have never in my life had a harder to install set of tires than these. I literally don't know how it could be harder to install them. Do not recommend them to anyone looking to maintain their sanity.
