Yep. The world is a better place because of him. There are so many quirky, weird, fun, creative types, Jim Henson included, who do small things that make a big difference. Caroll was one of them.

The standing ovation... I cried. These are all grown adults, and some of them were crying towards the end, Bc even if they do grow up, we all still have that little child inside us that remembers being in front of the Tv and singing the songs and being goofy.guess we don’t ever really grow up, do we?

Sesame street had very talented puppeteers, writers, producers, etc. Wow, they had a big list of celebrity guest stars too. I had no idea so many famous people appeared on the show too. To me, Sesame street was the great predecessor of the Muppet show, which I also loved watching.

His reason was Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and Sesame Street were both the Lands of make believe. And for that reason children didn't need to know Big Bird was not real. He however offered to appear on Sesame Street which he did. Forever connecting both shows.

Born in the 70s & growing up in the 80s #SesameStreet became a part of my daily education in the English language. I still know its theme song...by heart. 💙

I'm already 62 years old now and I actually grow with this amazing children's show. This special show brought tears to my eyes. I notice MISS PEGGY is no longer in the show., JIM HENSON brought legacy to the SESAME STREET.

Much love to all my fellow Sesame Street fans ❤ I knew I couldn't be the only one that cried at this. I wish I'd seen it when it aired, but I'm happy to see it now. RIP to Carol Spinney, Bob McGrath, and Emilio Delgado

What great honor to such a great show that I think will run forever. Sesame street I feel will be the longest ever running TV show in the world. I hope it never ends. If it does I think there will be a huge push against the network for ending the show. Jim Henson is missed

Though I didn’t watch a lot of Sesame Street as a preschooler, I did however watch my Elmo tapes over and over again, so just hearing him laugh is enough to bring tears of happiness to my eyes even at 23!! Also happy belated birthday Jim Henson!

In November of 1969 I was two years old and I was one of those millions of kids watching Sesame Street. I'm fifty six now, and I loved it every bit as much now as I did then. I watched this with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face.

Sesame Street. A show that, even now as an adult, I look at as a show that taught (and still teaches) children so much. Moreover, if we all, especially adults, took heart of the simple lessons of inclusion, caring, sharing and love that this wonderful show taught, the world would be a much better place. These lessons being regardless of race, religion or economic background. Something of which to be proud. I also cried at the extra song, "My Street" because, sometimes, in hindsight, to go back to simpler times seems to make so much sense. My favourites were (and still are) Elmo, Cookie, Grover and, for all those 90s kids and older, Snuffleluffagus.

I was born in 1968. I'm a first generation Sesame Street watcher. i would have loved to see some of the original human cast. I know Bob McGrath is still alive. So is Loretta Long ("Susan"), and the actors who played Luis and Maria (from the "FIx-it Shop"). That's still the Sesame Street I remember.
