Session Volume Profile: Tutorial

Күн бұрынThis is the second video in our Volume Profile series created to show you how to use our Volume Profile tools! Please make sure to watch every video in this series to get a good feel for using Volume Profiles, why they matter, and the importance of studying price & volume at the same time.
This video covers Session Volume Profiles including the Session Volume Profile HD. These volume profiles are essential for studying price volume at an intraday level. They help you see what price levels are attracting the most or least amount of volume based on a specific trading day. Zoom in to a 5-minute chart or even a 1-second chart and see the exact price levels where the most trading volume occurred.
These tools are highly detailed and specific. They will help with your analysis and research to see things other people don't. Dive into the granular nature of markets, even if that means a minute chart, to see the price levels where the most buyers bought and the most sellers sold.

Great content as always. At 10:10 what do you mean price went up and down?Do you mean more buyers (blue bars) and more sellers (yellow bars)? Thanks.

sup, why would VPSV show different volume values on a daily chart and lower time frames? on a daily it shows 0 buying volume on all rows in a lower half of a bar but on a 15 min chart the same bar is _mostly_ the buying volume on every row. that's contradictory info, how's that possible?

Hi there and thanks for the video! When trading cryptocurrencies, is is possible to adjust the Session Volume for a specific time period, so it does not display 24h intraday volume but let's say, US market session? Thanks

why is it not possible to extend the POC with VPSV HD? and i also realised that the POC and sometimes the VA varries depending on the timeframe. and yes, i mean the VPSV not the VPVR

You should add option to display total volume traded during session/period, pretty simple to add and would be useful

so when you pull a FRVP and no matter which previous high you start from, the POC is literally right by the VAL and there is price action in the middle of that selected range.. any guide will help.

Just use fixed volume if you want it for a particular session, because session volume gives the daily volume broken down

i have 2 doubts 1 . this volume session is about only intraday, what if i want to see how it behaves intraweek 2. in the last you told us about the extended POC, that we can use to determine support/ resistance, it makes chart messy, is there any way i can only see virgin extended POC?

You should not use Session VP for swing/position trading. You can use Fixed Range instead.

You can adjust your timezones as needed using the price scales and updating the volume profile accordingly.

Hi. In the indicator description, i read qotes "Profile High - The highest reached price level during the specified time period. Profile Low - The lowest reached price level during the specified time period." Is there any video that explain about that?

One thing I never understood about these volume profiles is that the PoC changes depending on which timeframe I'm on. Isn't it supposed to be always the same?

If you are talking about the VPVR, then why should the POC stay the same? By switching to larger timeframes, you also have a lot more historical data. The POC only shows at which level you had the most volume, which changes depending on how much data you include. Whereas with the VPFR, the POC stays the same because you yourself determine the range from which you want to pull the data.

Cont. or the VPSV HD to come on. I can get it on my favourites, I can get it on the screen but nothing happens when they are turned onto visible. I tried both with the same stock you are using and Crypto markets. I am wondering if I have another setting turned of by mistake. please help with this issue or refer me to the correct help section. Work for all markets but better don’t use it as the only indicator for your trading

Fake Can not be used for trading Volume profile repaints with every tick Looking at it after market close make everything clear but when market is open the volume profile is constantly developing and changing
