Visible Range Volume Profile: Tutorial

This is the final video in our Volume Profile series! This video will show you the Visible Range Volume Profile so that you can see the price levels that attracted the most trading volume over any time frame.
Zoom in or out of the chart, change your timeframe, go to stocks or crypto or futures, and the chart will adapt with your view.
Visible Range is a tool that can be used quickly as you do your research across all assets and timeframes. It dynamically adjusts with your screen and view. To put it simply, the Visible Range Volume Profile tool shows you the price levels where the most trading volume occurred no matter the timeframe or time interval you have open. And it will adjust as you adjust your chart.
It's fast and fluid, designed to work as fast as you can chart.

I still don't get why you call red color ''volume up'' and green color ''volume down''.. shouldn't it be other way round?🤔 in default colors I've thought the yellow is selling volume and blue is buying volume. Please corrent me if I misunderstand it

im confused. I've added the vrvp and the session volume profile indcator for USDCAD 30th Sept 2022. I look at the last 3 hours on the vrvp and go to the 3hr chart. So in theory, both indicators are looking at the last 3 hours of trading. However, hovering over the ask and bid volumes, they are very different with the vrvp being much higher. why is that? is the vrvrp cumulative for the price range of a period of more than 3 hours? e.g. on more dates? Help much appreciated .

13:40 must have been a mistake, right? You said red for up and vice versa, when you had just set the colors the other way around. Or am I misunderstanding?

I am still having some trouble to figure out up and down volumes, are they reflecting bid and ask volumes traded -- i am starting to think they represent volume delta in a foot print chart

Don't focus on up/down volume, it will only make things more complicated. Like you said, if you really want to see bid/ask, imbalances, etc etc.. you use other tools.

Trading View has since changed it's layout for indicators, so it's not possible to use the instructions in this video. Smh.

finding a way to have the difference between the yellow and the blue bar could be interesting. Right now it's hard to tell if they are the same length or not.

when you hover your mouse over them, it will tell you on the left hand corner the numerical value color coded to tender to your settings. it will say how much buying and selling volume there is there

@@krumpiskis6855 A more visual way to do it would be to the volume length as a long bar and the difference red or green as a small bar.
