I would really like to see this tested in the field. I would like to know if a fire department thinks it has some advantages over the more traditional "Halligan bar" which is very powerful and useful but also very bulky and heavy.

I think this is more applicable for LE, Military and civilian "urban survival" uses. Firefighters have one main job and go from the truck to the door fairly quickly, so carrying the Haligan isn't really an issue, and they just store it on the truck.

Magnets may be an effective retention means of replacing the bungee cords.

Add a small pair of bolt cutters and it would be a bit better.
