Seth Godin, 'The Person Who Fails the Most Wins' expanded: Find a space you can play and fail at it for awhile (not too much to where you are out of the game), get good at it and educate others in the service of generosity. This golden knowledge starts at 20:56

Seeing Seth give Chris advice towards the end, and Chris borderline fangirling with excitement and an open mind and ears and eyes, the same way that Chris gives advice to us, is a good reminder that no matter how good we grow, we never stop learning, and we should always do our best to enjoy the process as it unfolds.

Seth's advice that it is up to THEM to solve their own business problems is spot on. People have the wrong notion that a hero can come in and fix things. If the business model is bad. If the leadership is defective. If the employees have lost moral. Oh well. Seth is spot on, again and again.

KEY TAKEAWAYS Main point: LEARN TO CREATE VALUE -learn how to lead -learn how to solve interesting problems If I can easily search up an answer, it’s not worth learning / remembering (the internet/database remembers anyway) Then I can say: “I am the person you call to solve a problem, if you can’t look it up” “Whoever fails (tries) the most wins” - but find a space where I can learn & fail without losing too much Writers block is a myth - we just write poorly for a while until we dont (so keep at it) -consistent writing/working > being hesitant for perfectionism - just like plumbing not being something "I don't feel I'm able to do atm"

@@thefutur Appreciated. One more question! Minute 50 answering your important question about preparing for a presentation, his answer was first to be present rather than spending time practicing and polishing your speach, then few minutes later he said you have to practice a lot. Is this a contradiction or am I missing something? Like he meant to practice not practicing and be present?

Resistance tries to say I can’t move forward w/o a mentor. I’ve thought that! Thanks for saying a hero is enough.
