Very professional and affectionate video, thank you, from Australia. we have toured Chicago, Wisconsin and Buffalo in a FLW tour. Your video felt as if we were there, sharing your wine and our 50 th wedding anniversary,also. We wish you both good health and happiness

For a person living far far from any FLW house this tour was excellent. Thanks!

Thank you for the lovely tour. I’ve only just discovered this cottage and yours was the best video to introduce this beautiful little FLW site. I keep my fingers crossed I can visit one day!

Lewis - Just be sure to book the cottage well in advance. It is very popular! It's so nice to be able to spend a few nights in this wonderful place. The tours are good, but actually staying at the cottage is so much better than just a tour.

Thanks for sharing the video of your visit. As a retired architect, I dream of spending a few days in one of FLW's dwellings.

The few days will be magic. Do it if you can. There is nothing like actually living in the dwelling to fully experiencing it.

It was a labor of love Matt. We were at the cottage a couple weeks ago for the 30th anniversary of the restoration. It was wonderful being with a group of people who love this place and some who have done so much to make it available to the public. We have a reservation in January 2023. We hope this time, there will be some snow on the ground. Norm

I REALLY hope to be able to spend a few nights there sometime in my life espcially since I'm only a few hours away in Milwaukee. Seems like a perfect way to celebrate a 50th even if it was belated. And to see that you're lucky enough to have stayed more than once I very much envy you. Great video.

Reservations are made at least one to two years in advance so plan ahead Mike. But the wait is worth it. I made the video so my wife and I could relive the visit, and we have watched the video more than a few times. But via KZfaq, we could also share the experience with others. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you get to experience this wonderful cottage yourself sometime.

@@normanaulabaugh8707 Yeah I just checked yesterday and the next opening is the week of Thanksgiving 2023, lol. But its nice to see the price has stayed about the same for a few years. Its alot of money for someone like me who never stays at hotels or resorts but it really is a bucket list item (though I would much rather stay at Taliesin if that was possible. :)

What is the name of the song Please, I like the bass ! Nice version.

cj - there are three music pieces in the video. The first is Rondeau, Sinfonies de Fanfares which is also better known as the theme from Masterpiece Theater. The second, which is what I believe is the piece you are inquiring about, is Pachelbel's Canon in D. The Last piece is Audrey Assad's Holy Holy Holy. Who is performing these pieces is unknown to me. They are on a collection of music I have that is licensed to be broadcast in the public domain. Sorry, I do not know the names of the performers.

The bathroom and kitchen are far from the best I have seen FLW design even in his Eusonion houses. This lacks the design of most of his homes.
@normanaulabaugh87073 жыл бұрын
Susan - This is a cottage, not a "house." And although the Usonion houses were "small" and practical, they were still houses. I feel we have to cut Mr. Wright a little slack here on his design. Norm Aulabaugh

@@normanaulabaugh8707 Agreed this is a cottage not meant for permanent residency. Think mobile home grounded but designed by the premiere architect of all time .
