I used to watch letterman with my grandfather before bed and I was young and didn’t understand everything and just laughed along but now watching these clips I’m glad I was able to be part of it

Same here - I would watch watch with my older brother in the mid to late 90s. I loved his top 10 lists and his bits like stupid human tricks and the throwing of watermelons. I started appreciating his brilliance as I got older

If you're "outside of Long Island," you're off Long Island. The Ed Sullivan Theater is outside of Long Island. Some "Late Show" audience members took the LIRR (and a subway train) to get there, and I guess, still do for Colbert.

Not that Guilt Trip was a great movie (at best I thought it was 'cute'), but this interview probably took about $10 million off the box office after he revealed that Barbra wouldn't do the movie unless it was filmed no more than 45 minutes from her house. It's true. I saw her say it. Seth gave too many secrets away. He later said the movie was only good enough to show on planes where people are trapped into seeing it. Yikes. PS: Guilt Trip made its production cost back but barely.
