That three stage set up is SO amazing! Its so nice to see people putting effort into keeping these guys around. I would love to see them in person someday. Our local chuck e cheese got rid of our remaining animatronic before I had a chance to see it.

I wish someone would saved one complete set of Munch's Make A Believe Band like what Aaron Fechter did for The Rock Afire Explosion... because he has a huge shop in Florida!!!

I was born in Charlotte and I worked at the Showbiz Pizza Place on Highway 51 in the early 90's (89, 90, 91) during the "concept unification" right before I left for college in 1991. Showbiz was the absolute chit. It is hard to believe almost a quarter century later this location still has all the animatronics on all three stages. I remember dressing up as Billy Bob and my friend as Chuck E Cheese and we would chase each other around the 150+ arcade games and pinball machines. I remember doing "lock ins" where kids could spend the night, watch the show and play games all night long! I still take my 9 year old to this very CEC location to this day. They took out the sports room and the beverage bar. Heck the only thing that is really original from what I can tell are the locations of the bathroom, the tech room and the stage itself. Oh and now it is no smoking! LOL! Yeah you could order pitchers of beers, smoke stogies and watch the rear projection TV in the "sports bar" while your kids ran around with no supervision. The only thing constant is change. Thanks for posting this!

The building and baby munch are super cool to see working again, when I was a kid the one by me was set up like the street stage you described, it really was good.

This vid gave me so much nostalgia. Former KZfaqr Big Cheese visited these two store frequently. Don’t know what happened to him or why he terminated his channel, but it’s good to see these two NC locations again. My fav stage of all time is the Huntsville AL location but the last one you showed w/ Munch Jr. and the awesome lighting is a close second. Side note: I couldn’t hear Alex very well when you were talking with him because the show was going on at that very moment. Perhaps you could have waited until they stopped performing before letting Alex show you around the stage?

I got interested in chuck e cheese by its history and how I used to go I wish the nearest one still had the animatronics and also made me interested in robotics I able to drive and these two locations are 1 hour drive to get there I plan to vist hopefully they still go this there it so cool to see thing from the past

Great video! It's really sad how the Albemarle Rd Road Stage has been neglected. It used to be in perfect shape. With those flow controls cranked, they just tear themselves apart.

Speaking of Hawaiian pizza at Chuck E Cheese I remember seeing a TV show where the premise was they revisited foods from the 1980s that you can’t get today. In that particular episode they looked at 1980s Chuck E Cheese Pizza. They recreated the 1980s Hawaiian pizza, which did have pineapple and ham… but interestingly it also had almonds. You can’t get this pizza at CEC today, but the host of the show admitted the combination sounded odd, yet it still worked as a pizza

Well thoughs that have a chance might as well still enjoy that cu three stage retro Rock-afire Explosion/Munch's Make Believe Band wanna be style look show. All those creative engineering animatronics look fabulous. I'd love a pic of retroed Fatz/cu Mr Munch look.

pinesville Munch Jr isn’t it’s original mech it was added back in 2021 as a custom bot how it moves up is that he’s connected to munch’s footap

I had no idea there were still locations with animatronics. I really hope they keep the Pineville location because I've heard so much care has been put into that one to keep it alive. I also think one former ShowBiz location that underwent Concept Unification should be kept as a nod to its history.

some locations that work great and are getting 2.0... maybe instead of destroying the working ones, they should be put to good use and be transferred to locations like Albemarle (the one with the road stage) who's animatronics aren't working too good.

Amazing video as always! One thing I should probably mention is that West Des Moines still have their Building and Moon. They don’t run anymore unfortunately but they’re still back there! On my first visit, my friend who works at that store allowed me to go on stage and take a peek at them! But anyways, great video! Looking forward to more!
