I'm wondering how they are going to release A2 into Q3 without large-scale tests for A1 players. They need tests of at least 10k people, so that at the start of A2 with about 100k players, the servers would not crash for several months. I remember A1 tests that started 6 months before A1, and there we couldn’t get to the server for a couple of months, because of crashes.

Anyone taking time off of work at the start of Alpha 2 is in for a real shock. The game might even have to be taken down for days at a time to fix major issues. Hard Core Gamers need to understand this isn't even close to a real game, it's not even half a game, it's not even half of half a game. Limited nodes, limited systems, limited characters, limited progression, the list goes on. Time off of work is nice, if you can afford it and need a break from it, but scheduling your life around the testing of a game that doesn't exist yet is not a good plan.
