This episode, we upgrade from four stars to five stars and explore my ideas on signature weapons for a few of our standard characters!

===General Disclaimer===
I am not a theory-crafting master, and I may miss the mark on concepts. This series isn't meant to focus on "meta." It is just a fun concept-making series which hopefully opens the floor for discussions. If you have critiques or alternate ideas, feel free to comment. Just be respectful.
===Personal Weapon Concept Rules===
1) Characters’ signature weapons match their rarity. Judge value of 4* based on R5, and 5* based on R1.
2) An R1 5* weapon should be the best option for its intended unit within a particular category. It should not outperform a different 5* unit using their own signature. It can be outperform other options on a 4* unit.
3) Artifact Substats and Enemy DEF/RES are not included in calculations.
4) Weapon should be able to synergize with C0 of that character, but constellations can be considered when making the concept.
5) Weapon substat should be consistent with existing weapons. Weapon passives do not have to be universally accessible or realistic.
6) For calculations, assume character/weapon level is 90, talents are 8, and constellations are 0, unless stated otherwise.

@@demonicflame632 the elemental burst passive is only there for half the rotation. Now I know ayaka is played in a way that it doesn't really matter cuz the later half of the rotation is just batterying ayaka. But still, on paper, keqing's burst having a lower cool down means that that particular stack is even more tailored to her than ayaka

@@MuhaamadAreebNot really? Ayaka utilizes the 3 stacks for like 90% of her total damage and unlike Keqing, she LOVES the high base attack and low crit value. If Mistsplitter were a better fit for Keqing, the base ATK would be very low and the crit stat would be very high.

Note for Starseeker: You could do it so when stacks are lost by dealing skill hits, the skill cooldown is lowered so Keqing can get 100% uptime on her infusion without needing the Thundering Fury set, something that I'm guessing literally every Keqing main ever would be thankful for because Gilded Dreams is really fucking good to pass up, and in that way giving up stacks isn't just a limitation that does nothing for the wearer. As for Fateweaver, I would change it so after the elemental burst is cast (say, within the first 5 seconds or so) if an elemental reaction related to the equipping character's element is triggered by another party member, then the effect would be triggered. That way it doesn't need to check for statuses, since then it'd make it a little too niche, and like the standart characters, I feel these weapons shouldn't be **too** character specific.

That is why I think Starseeker is not really that amazing on her because Keqing in her best teams uses TF which causes her to use her skill constantly. More skill usage means more aggravates and more Fischl A4 procs. You use Keqing skill every 4 or 5 seconds. How much uptime is that passive going to even have?

That will undefined the whole purpose of TF. CD mechanic is very OP in a lot of game. Just like how there is no sacrificial lance, it will break the game..

1st thing I would fix with Qiqi is her elemental skill cooldown. A weapon that reduces cooldown is gonna be game changing. While we do already have a Sac Sword which actually resets the skill for Qiqi, it has a low base attack.

Funny you mention that! I actually had that in an earlier version, but I took it out since I didn’t want to over-inflate it with buffs, and I felt the damage utility and energy generation had more value than the cooldown reduction

Maybe reducing skill CD when healing off-field would make it qiqi exclusive and maybe jean could use, but you would have to swap in and out like crazy

Nah she doesnt tbh. As a Qiqi lover, i wish her NA was better, she kills and heals soo well. It just sad that everyone stickd to reaction meta. I use dps meta,🤣 1 charater kill, the other just does surpport. Like heal. For Qiqi and jean i wish Sacrificial sword effect, with atk% in the effect or even healing bonus.

Even if it's good visualy and is currently good on her, it dosnt make her viable or good outside of teams that are dosnt need her anyways but can run her cause they do enough dmg 😂 What she needs is a sword that transfer her healing into ice% dmg and give her some energy back

Fortunately, the numbers are the easiest part to tweak! I quickly checked the numbers and found a 10% ATK~EM conversion is around 4% better, and a 14% conversion is 10% better :)

I made the freedomsworn sword Jean's signature. She can have trouble activating the effect since she doesn't swirl as much as Kazuha but when she does she's just as good. I'd switch the atk% buff it provides to dmg bonus to make it more universal.

Keqing at least does have one with her one and only banner with the Jade Cutter. They've run the weapon along side others since and Mistsplitter has powercrept it, but Jade Cutter was made for her.

Very good video ! For the next one I suggest considering a movement speed or a stamina consumption bonus for Klee's weapon regarding her current BiS (+5% which increases dash range) and best mate (Kazuha overworld passive)

This problem with the lack of signature weapons is not even exclusive to the standard 5 star units. Even many of the early 5 star limited units lack signature weapons. The only early unit I recall retroactively receiving a signature was Venti probably because he is the Archon of Anemo. Klee and Albedo are two examples of limited 5 stars that have no 5 star signature weapons. They got a 4 star event weapon that no longer can be obtained in the game and moved on.

I would love to see the introduction of signature weapons for standard characters and the traveler. It would be neat if they were in the shop or behind some other method to acquire (maybe something similar to herta store in HSR) rather than on the gatcha.

As a qiqi main, this is definitely an interesting choice. I do taser qiqi (and yes her with furina is really fun. Throw in Mika and it’s goofy XD) if your sword stacked with Mika it would be bonkers XD. So silly so fun. (Especially with qiqi’s already high attack speed) I don’t know enough with numbers but here is my thoughts, for cryo mains with her it’s seems really good. for tazer I’m a bit iffy with the ER, mainly because her healing already maxes out bubbles so the increase uptime on the ult isn’t that crazy with the team. The thing arises if you do attack, crit % if it becomes too good on its own. Same if you put physical. Either way supper fun.

12:56 recommended build for Bennett outside of Furina teams has been er/dmg/crit since forever, a very few ppl who build Benny for heals would care for min-maxing anyway and high base atk+ER would already make the weapons unquestionable BiS for him

I think Qiqi's rather than giving her ER give her Atk% as her sub stat which buff her healing more. Her burst CD is long enough to charge her burst which also scale on Atk. Qiqi and Jean are both healers and their talents are scale with Atk stat where Jean is burst heal while Qiqi heal by doing damage. Jean also has a healing passive where when she attack she heals the team slightly scaling to her Atk but Jean's biggest asset is her Burst while Qiqi's is the number of attack she hits and not her burst.

That Mona weapon probably makes her one of the best standard banner characters. Also interesting how it boosts other character's crit. damage. Reminds me of various crit. rate or damage boosters, like one of her constellations, Rosaria, and Gorou. Qiqi's weapon is nice, it just requires her to be an on-fielder to maximize its effects? In all fairness, Kokomi's signature weapon has a similar effect so fair enough. Don't get me wrong, I like Qiqi and her being an on-fielder with that weapon and Furina would be powerful. I just feel like on-fielders tend to be less popular as they have more competition.

Holy shit your Mona’s weapon is amazing. That would even make her a decent DPS, but certainly would make her the strongest buffer in game! I love using her, I just don’t like the fact that she is usually overshadowed since Bennett is more universal and we have the niche buffers for other teams.

Could you do a rework of Zongli's signature weapon? I have been rocking staff of homa for years and it feels wasteful to have a damage centered weapon used on a shield bot. Plus, vortex vanquisher has such incredible aesthetic value, it would be amazing for it to be useful. I was thinking it could swap ATK% for HP% and give it a team wide shield strength passive with a damage boost given for the on field unit when the shield takes damage.

Jeans signature is def aquila, it's a high base atk weapon designed to go well with her passive that heals your entire party when she's normal attacking. They just really overestimated how good on-field physical jean would be.

My friend the primordial jade cutter is the signature wepon of keqing, because it was realese with her in her infamous banner in 1.4.....I know the color doesn't fix to her, but hey we have yoimiya, ayaka and kazuha.....and also the entire weapon work with her( and also works with a lot of characters 😂😂😂) I always tough that the aquila favonius it was the weapon for jean. Because well it says favonius in the name😂 also has a base atack high that help jean in her stats for healing, the pasiv also gave her attack % and extra healing for the wielder if recive damage.....I know that the sub-stat is wierd (physical damage bonus) but hey jean doesn't have bad multiplier in her normal and charge attack that also help her to heal I think that Lost prayer is the signature of klee, it alway come with klee in her banner, is a weapon for DPS wich is the role of klee......she suffer the same of xiao and ganyu, her signature weapon is from the standar banner I don't have an opinión for Mona and qiqi

I feel like Mona’s passive would have been better if it was an elemental construct because of her alternative sprint placing those down fairly quickly quickly and it would be a really good option on multiple other characters also

It may be silly, but I always thought that Keqing's Signature Weapon was the Primordial Jade Cutter, while Jean's was Aquila Favonia, though I think it's most likely due to Keqing's banner and Jean's splash art.

My signature weapons for each Mona: mappa mare or skyward atlas Klee: the red book from her event Keqing: mistsplitter reforged Qiqi: sacrificial sword Jean: skyward sword or the flute or aquilla

i'd also like to put diluc on this because wolves gravestone is by far not his best Black knight's resolute base atk: 674 crit dmg: 44.1 passive: "o' flames burn in me" Gain a 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements when the user uses an elemental skill, the user gains 1 stack of "shard of a hero" using an elemental burst instantly grants 3 stacks of "shard of a hero"; caps at 6 stacks, an lasts for 20 seconds' and each stack gained resets the cooldown "shard of a hero" . "shard of a hero": each stack grants the user 2%-12%/3%-18%/4%-24%/5%-30%/6%-36% normal, changed and plunged attack damage. when the user gains full stacks, the user gains an additional 150/175/200/225/250 elemental mastery with the advent of xianyun, i made it so his weapon's damage is spread throughout all his talents, without going too much on elementa; dmg bonus, or it would be a carbon copy of mistsplitter. so i made it that the stacks linger for awhile, and made it that you use your burst and skill to gain stacks to increase the normal atack talent to abuse xianyun's plunge, while also giving the chance for the passive to linger longer when doing the na-skill-na-skill-na-skill combo for those who doesnt have a xianyun' by making the passive last longer when you cast diluc's already low skill cooldown, as well as giving em to aplify further the rev vape

The funny party is that Diluc’s actively handicapping himself by using his skill now. Same with his burst if there’s C6 Bennett. You can’t get good uptime on this passive without going for a suboptimal combo.

I believe he only applies wet to himself when he uses his skill. So it’s not really viable for a personal or team damage buff unfortunately

Idk but the skyward blade seems like a jean signature and Mona is already fine with any er weapon. Qiqi already op with Fontaine sword.

Sucks that Qiqi’s would force her to be on field, and swapping in more, she could’ve rly competed against Kazuha in freeze since cryo dps tend to apply cryo well enough themselves, and you would always get overheal since your enemies can’t do anything. Also HOYO DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND GIVE MONA SOMETHING PLEASE AT LEAST FIX HER C1

I would say also albedo doesn't have sig 5 star weapon summit sharper isn't and now it seems like it's primordial jade cutter which doesn't synergize with his kit Currently the chiori sig weapon will probably be his BiS

The 4* weapon Cinnabar Spindle is Albedo's BiS and signature, arguably better than his 5* options, although it is unfortunately a limited event weapon that cannot be obtained anymore.

The Keqing signature is good but a bit too strong, getting hundreds of EM for free is like gaining full wolf's gravestone passive while also having crit as the main stat. I'd halve the bonus EM. Jean's weapon is HUGE on Bennett. Very interesting video!
