What I love about these videos is that they're authentic; we can see a bit of ourselves as Andrew and there's no BS. He doesn't flash wealth, he doesn't have a gold toilet or an expensive car. He just has the toys most of us would want and does the cool stuff we want to do. A fair share of us would love to have this sort of setup and it'd be more than enough.

Hey Andrew, I just wanna say that watching your mechanical skills has helped me get more involved with troubleshooting and fixing specific problems instead of throwing parts and hoping something sticks. For example, today with a Raypak pool heater with a flickering display, I thought the display readout or controller board was bad and was going to consider replacing it before I worked from power supply coming in and verifying wiring diagram -- there was a stray ground that was not attached to a sheet of metal within the heater. As simple as that and it just took figuring out what a heater/electrical needs to in order to work. Thank you and keep posting videos, I watch them all from start to finish.

The greatest moments in my opinion are @22:00 till minute 25, when Cody is running towards the amazing observation point with view into the valley (really fantastic landscape) and Andrew installs his hammock lightened by the warm autumn sunshine and underlined by the sound of the warm breeze. Holy cow...that view is absolutely amazing... I'm 64 years old now, worked construction most of my life, and what I wouldn't give for that kind of view today!!! 3 years ago I bought a couple acres of land and a home just 20 miles south of downtown Houston... Everyone tells me it's doubled in value today... I'd miss my kids, grandbabies...and friends but a fellow could disappear up there!!! Course I'd need a wider driveway!!! LOL...

Andrew, we have watched you move/drag several containers over the last two years. It would be interesting to watch you fabricate two removable wheels to attach to the container to move it more easily.

I was 10 minutes in before I realized there wasn't going to be any work "show." Oh, a work SHOP! that makes a lot more sense. Strangely, now I want to see him host a work show!

i couldn't help but laugh seeing the wet spot Cody left on the plywood in the shipping container. that sums up living with Labs right there. they want to be as close to you as possible no matter what your doing and 9/10 they are soaking wet. lol Cody is a good boy

I put the lights in the corners of the trailers also. Rocks kept breaking them until I put some RV furnace covers over them. Designed to keep bugs out but worked great for the rocks from the tires.

When using rustoleum I like to add Japan dryer and catalyst Hardener, they help dry the paint and give it a better and longer lasting gloss.

I’m laughing. I’m so glad you said you were there until 3am as I was in awe at how quickly and easily you built those units . I spent 4 hours the other day building a five drawer dresser for a friend . It just felt here were hundreds of screws . Trouble is that she still has another still to build . By the way , that’s a great friend who doesn’t look at the clock when you’re on a mission . I’m impressed with that tool box too ❤️

I was expecting you to space the 2 containers about 30’ apart, build a roof over them and enclose it for a work space/storage between the containers. We did that with three 40’HCs and had a 40x40 with a gambrel roof, built a nice little living space above the shop and container roofs. Welded panels on the door ends sealing them off and put the doors on the side of the containers except the one at the back that had doors on both ends and one side (was a bonus for buying 4 at the time)

Containers can make nice ad hoc workshops; adding a 10x10 or 10x20 pop up in them that you can pull out and quickly set up also makes for a great covered work area. Some gravel in front also makes a nice mud free work zone, adding a couple furniture blankets also makes a nice to crawl on passing.

I’m a great fan of Andrew and have been for some time but I do miss the older style of videos where did jobs for people and was often repairing his machinery in his workshop .

i have learned more by watching every single second of every video you have posted then i’ve learned all 4 years of my high school construction class! they dont teach u these types of things in school and for someone like u to make videos on ur business and to document how everything is done its just awesome man! i can technically say you’ve taught me so much.

This is my 8th “Andrew video “ in a row, reason for the “binge watch “ ? Chemo just kicked my butt, again! When you watch his videos, sometimes you get the impression that something is unsafe/weird or whatever. After 7 in a row I am convinced that is totally untrue. He is definitely up there in the safest class. Would I do some of the things that he does? No, but I am a born scaredy-cat! What brought me to this conclusion? I considered my working live of 53 years, 20 years at sea as an Engineer Officer with a cruise line ( I would spend an average of 10 months/year actually at sea) then the rest,ashore, as an hotel engineer. He is certainly safer than I was. So, Andrew, my sincere apologies for mentally maligning you. Please keep on making your videos, showing the beautiful countryside where you live, and of course keeping us entertained. Thanks again, Very sincerely, Rod

He bought a 24 foot container truck and painted it and put on a gable for the front and kept it all under $1,400.

With all your welding skills, could you build a sled for the front end so you can drag those boxes? Just lift the box up, set it on the sled and secure it and have a front tongue to latch onto then drag it with the tractor or what ever. Is that a good idea?

have you considered bringing loads of shale/ gravel from your castle rocks to your other driveway ? also it looks like the driveway could use some drainage ditches and colverts. i would enjoy seeing the driveway getting a huge upgrade

hi andrew, been subbed for a long time now and was wondering if we can look forward to a follow up video on the rv/camper on top of that hill. To see if youve taken any of the advice given to you regarding protecting the roof from trees, weather etc and the whole thing from rodents and bugs etc, dont want the camper rotting away on you before youve had a few good years of use given the time and trouble of setting up a great "base camp".
