Hey Adrian! Thank you for all your effort you have put into the channel so far. I'm actually a 23yo English teacher from Turkey but I have always enjoyed translating more and recently I have decided to go start my masters study in Anglophone Studies in Germany next year. I am currently trying to build up my beginner level of German and you're really inspring. All these videos are more than a guide for me at this point. Personally, I am rather interested in journalistic translation and I have been doing volunteer translation for some famous popular science magazines in Turkey and I know that I need to gain more and more experience. I know it requires too much practice to do that in German as well as in English-Turkish language pair but I don't think it is impossible. I actually even signed up for this one course on Coursera; you had mentioned it in one of your videos to get some more insights to sceneric arts. You are really a good model and thank you again for the content. It seems that I have a lot to learn from you.

Wow, thanks for the bunch of informations. I do translation for three languages pairs (French, English, and Arabic). And recently I start transcription, sync, QC, and hormozi subs style for shorts on Instagram, KZfaq and tiktok. For the moment I'm out of projects and need help on how to increase my chances to get projects and where I can found them. Thanks and cheers.

Very informative video, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Now, I've come across with a couple of doubts: 1-What would be better, to start your agency by designing your business plan, your website, etc., or to start to be known as a freelancer and then open your agency? 2-Robert mentioned that it's better to get a group of translators, work together, and then decide whether to create an agency. Could it be possible to start on your own, then open your agency and after that hiring other translators? Thanks in advance and greetings from El Salvador! :)

Mr Gebhardt, I have a question for you: Once you have clients that pay you as a freelancer, how do you transition to a translation agency that will charge more? Clients come expecting a different (lower) price than you can now offer.
