Fluval external filter pumps is by far one of the best things any fish tank owners can invest in. No need to ever service it once its up and running as long as you maintain your tropical planted tank. I've had mine (70/100 Gal) since 2017. Looking forward on seeing how this fish tank develops over time. Awesome setup!

So glad to have you back mate. I feel you on the health stuff , I really do. I've just undergone major abdominal surgery and I know just how difficult and restricting recovery is, especially when there's complications. Great to see you back at it pal and I'm glad you're doing well.

Someone has probably mentioned this but …Plug your heater into the inkbrd . The ink bird protects against heater malfunction to prevent cooking your fish

Fluval are good but give aquel a go. Almost silent and super easy to clean and maintain.

Really like how you’ve gone for a 3ft tank. That’s all I’ve got with some clown loaches and corydoras. Would love to try big tanks and bigger fish but most of us can only get away with smallish tanks. Hope you enjoy it once you’ve stocked it. 👍

Looks great Mick, well done fella, take it nice & slow but you no what you are doing. I use to keep Trophy’s back when I kept fresh water, was a pretty penny then too but have a few verity’s, lovely fish, like a good bit of flow too if I remember correctly… Look forward to seeing this with some live stock, well done all Manufacturers who got involved & sorted you out too 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 also Kessels are probably the best lights for shimmer too, I run AI & Ecotech now , nice but not as good as the kessels .

You could use your fluval heater with that then you will have the heating controller as a back up if the thermostat goes on your heater mate that's what u do. I would never buy a titanium heater again, they are crap and not as good as they are meant to be in my experience anyway

I literally have an email from Fluval telling me not to load the baskets with bio media as it causes micro bubbles. Not had great experience with the FX range and Fluval customer service at all, despite quite literally owning every single one of their products released to date, including their aquarium range. Never again. Despite the filter though, great to see you back and nice tank.

I have fluvial filters in all my tanks, and they’re all perfect and all have extra media so you must be doing something wrong👍😞

@@oscardean6351Nope, I have standards. As you see Fluval themselves stated the baskets shouldn’t be full. Thanks for the Advice on your Fluvial filters though.

I've got 06/07 Fluval filters on all of my tanks. They are, without doubt, the best cost vs quality filter on the market. They are customizable with the type of media that you want to use as well. I wouldn't swap them for the FX range of filters either.
