Also as I side note as I commented earlier if you donate bed your helping someone out , the charity can make a good amount on this make sure you tell them it's brand new . I worked in charity retail believe it or not the store have targets to reach and this would go a long way in helping the store make it target and you can sleep soundly ( litterly 😂) knowing you've done a good deed ! X

Been struggling with dinner too! What i did was making sure i had pre cut salads in the fridge and eat them with some chicken or boiled eggs, some cheese ect. Saved me tons of time and thinking!😊 Also, about making mistakes, take your time to get used to your new life, its overwhelming right now , its too early to have everything figured out😊

Hello! Such a bummer the rug and bed didn't work out. I think with some of your decor pieces and colors that the Bridgerton Collection from Ruggable would have some great choices. As for the bed just get rid of it. Wayfair has a rattan bed frame for $300 called Stavern. Good luck with your decisions and out come!!

It is so easy to drive to donate the bed to goodwill and get a donation slip. Boom, done! You could call and double check with them. Easy way to get your full refund.

I relate to feeling guilty when making a mistake. For me it has to do with my anxiety/insecurity, I don't want to be an inconvenience, feeling that I just have to stick with it because I did make a mistake, and it cost a lot of money. Also, it's creating more wastage (financial and literal) through having to ship back (carbon/repackaging) and I've also heard fast fashion companies just chuck away returns instead of reselling. I think this just shows you're a good thoughtful person who is dealing with overwhelming thoughts and emotions. I know it's hard but please don't be so hard on yourself, in the end, we're all just human. We all make mistakes. Let's not let that stop us from being happy. You didn't do this intentionally. Donate the bed and get a full refund, win win.

You are not alone. I hate returning pieces especially in person, seeing/interpreting the cashier more dissapointed than they actually are. Even it is their mistake, payed to much on an item so went back, luckily this time the cashier was so nice about it which made it easier.

I would donate bed get refund if you hate it ,it will always annoy you . Can I suggest with something so important as a bed that you go to a shop see it in person try it out look at it made up etc also with rug the same because the colours don't always come out properly on line there are always some kind of sales or offers on beds as I know some great deals on line however if they are not made well is that why they are cheaper ? ( I know this is not always the case but it's a valid question ! ) at least in a store you have a point if contact . Obviously you can check out options on line before going to store so your not overwhelmed or so you know they have something suitable that your looking for such as design details etc . Good luck 👍x

I understand perfectly, it happens to me as well and thoughts like "but if I don't like the bed, how can I donate it to someone?!" would come to mind. It's all in our heads. Mistakes are made, and sometimes we're lucky enough to find a solution for the consequences. Take advantage of it! (to make up for the times when bad things happen). And who knows if someone who receives the donated bed might actually end up liking it!

Take a trip to Home Goods to look for a new rug. They have a great selection and their prices are very good. Take a pillow from your sofa so you can be sure the colors work. ❤

Donate the bed! They should have a better return policy. You should also not have to dig into the fine print to know that was an image and not actual fabric. It is their fault that their website didn't make that clear up front.

Hi from Austria! I had a similar situation with an Outside-Lounge.. in my country we have a phone service with legal advice, which said the seller is responsible for taking the shipment costs and a pickup/transport service. And it worked fine (I didn't have the shipping boxes anymore after 2 weeks) Maybe you have a similar option. 🤔

Loving this series! You might be able to fix the door swinging closed by adjusting the hinges? Also I feel you on usually taking a long time to make decisions and feeling mad at yourself when it doesn’t work out! I would def donate the bed and get the refund! goodwill sometimes does free pickup. call around and see if that's an option in your area. then get the slip to get all your money back. you will hate that bed and that should be your happy place. LOL i hate that happened for that cost they should be way more accommodating

I get a little stressed watching everything come out of a box. I understand you might not want to invest a lot of $$ if you're only staying short term but FB Market place etc. is really great too. I totally get the not wanting/feeling like adulting at times. If its giving you anxiety or stressing you out you can always see about getting some flat washers or combination of washers and a nut (?) that will fit the width of the screw and fill in the gap between the two pieces allowing you to fully tighten that section of the head board. It's a cheep fix plus your thoughts about DIYing the head board may give you some breathing space to hunt and find your perfect bed frame. However if the financial cost of getting a refund is more pressing, then I agree with a lot of the people commenting here - donation and refund is the best option.

I understand the guilty feeling because you didn't really want the bed and now an option has come up where you can get a full refund inadvertantly but you wouldn't take that option if you really liked it. End of the day they have given you that option so I would give it to good will and start again tbh. Love your videos, I've never moved house before so your lifestyle is just amazing to me! x

If they recognise the item is faulty surely you should get a full refund. If it’s not cost effective for them to cover return postage they can suggest you donate. Maybe worth looking into. Also maybe worth getting their offer in writing and take a photo of receipt if you do donate just incase you loose it. Hope it works out well

The donation option would be my only option. That way you’re getting a full refund and you can get the bed you actually want. Plus you’re not out of pocket with postage. Saying this kindly but you are overthinking this situation. The reason you’re returning it ultimately is the bed is faulty. You feel guilty because you accidentally chose the wrong one and yes that’s technically your mistake. But the bed Is faulty and you couldn’t have predicted that. Prior to the fault being noticed, you were going to DIY that. Focus on the real reason you’re really returning it. Hope that helps!! From a mum of two adults in Australia haha ❤

Donate the rug, make someone else happy. The reason for the return is poor quality not that you didn't read the description. Poor quality was not your fault, it's the vendor's and it's a legitimate option for you. No need for feeling guilty.

I completely get your point about it being your mistake, so keeping it made sense. But, the fact that there's a fault and you have an easy way of getting a full refund, whilst giving the bed to some place that needs it, is like the universe telling you "go get a bed you like". No sense in needlessly "punishing yourself." :) Also if you are looking for an alternate washable rug company - I found Revival to be really great! And their washable rugs feel like actual rugs whereas I know some Ruggable rugs feel very canvas-like.

i cant tell that its a print not an actual texture. in my opinion to be honest its better and easier to clean. the texture will eventually collect dust and depree

I think you should donate and get your refund and then you can get the bed you want that makes you happy. You should give yourself some Grace it wasn’t your fault it was a defect and when you purchased it you were probably so excited to get a bed and be able to set your room up and stuff got overlooked, it’s okay we have all been there we are only human and Not perfect. That is just my opinion and advice, you know what’s gonna make you happy and I think you should choose the best solution for you.❤

That business you bought the bed from is going to get a tax write off for you donating it, so it’s still somewhat of a win for them. Definitely donate it. People return things all the time because they don’t like it or didn’t realize something about it, it’s not bad to take advantage of the options you have. Also a donation place might come pick it up from you for free.

Donate it ASAP. You didn’t feel guilty about rhe rug when it wasn't right. 🤔 So why the bed? Not analyzing you, but I think you have a bit of decision fatigue. You've had to make several online purchases in a short amount of time. That's difficult, so don't get in your head, & guilt yourself. Slow it down & get what you want. You're allowed to make mistakes. There'll be someone at Goodwill who does want that bed. Win-win. Go easier on yourself ❤
